Such a great teacher. Her lectures were easy to understand. The material was easily accessible and organized. There were 4 papers that were on subjects that you choose, based on class discussions. There was a variety of material to learn from. (P.S. didn't read a single book and wrote papers the night before...B+ as the overall grade in class.

She is nice, but very slow speaker and lecturer. Tests include several long essay questions, which you see for the first time on the day of the exam. Very theory and concept based class. Did way worse than I should have, felt grading was unfair.

Class itself was awesome and really interesting. I loved professor McCammon during the class, but the final grade is completely arbitrary. I got A's on all of the papers and somehow ended up with a B.

Loved this class! Professor McCammon loves discussion and is very interested in hearing what you think. Daily reading and occasional one page response papers. 4 longer papers throughout the semester. She made our exams take home but that made them basically 15-20 page papers, so be prepared to write. Grades fairly easy if you put effort into it.

If you read the material, attend class, and occasionally contribute to the discussion, this Professor gives generous grades. McCammon definitely favors the more eager students in her class. For those who don't fall into that category the grades will seem arbitrary. In short, great teacher, but expect to put in the work.

Worst teacher I've had at Vandy. My GPA in the department is a 4.0...except for her, because she's rediculously biased and ruthlessly grades anyone who disagrees with her. Like other reviews said, talks to you like you're a 2 year old, then makes up a grade based on how she feels about you.

not as bad as some of the other ratings say, shes very nice and was very willing to give extra credit and help students out with grades, the class, however, was pretty boring and the subject sometimes was too. tests are fair as long as you take good class notes and peruse the readings, but overall are pretty tough.Not a horrible course,but not easy

DON'T TAKE HER CLASSES!! She is extremly biased, intellectually dishonest, and grades based only on her close-minded views. I disagreed with her grading and she told me to write notes on the dissenting points. I did and she NEVER looked at it, even a semester later, claiming that she didn't have time. I graduated 4 years ago and am still angry.

She is a great professor. Her class was always interesting and she lectures extremely clearly and thoughtfully, and always makes times for questions and discussion. The assignment schedule was not at all rigorous either.
