I had to take her for lab and she was amazing! She is very lenient and funny. She explains the labs before you do them and is always willing to help. She lets you hand things in late, whereas most Professors would ask you to leave. She's a great professor, I highly recommend her.

AMAZING AND INCREDIBLY SWEET. Really cares about students and wants them to do well. She'll slow down lesson plans and make sure we understand what is going on. If we don't do well on a test she gives us quizzes and all the points you get right she adds to the test. If a lot of people aren't in class she gives people who are in class EC points

Dr Rao wants everyone to learn chem. Not many quizzes and not extensive homework. Wait to do the Mastering chem until the end of the unit and definitely attend SI. Ask her questions and even though she gets an attitude it is helpful. Do practice problems on your own. You need to work for the grade but it is definitely possible. Recommend for lab.

EASIEST, SWEETEST chem teacher. She is really understanding of our needs as students. Her slides are really clear and she gives a practice packet before every test that is IDENTICAL to the test problems. In labs, she gets us in and out asap, no long lectures. She has an insane sense of humor. She just wants to have fun and enjoy her time with us.

study guides are ridiculously misleading, tests are hard. shes nice, but at the end of the semester "nice" doesn't cut it-- grades do. Oh by the way, I find her somewhat intimidating and difficult to approach. Take it from somebody who is interested in nature, her class is HARD. and she plans to keep it that way so that people won't sign up for it.

If you need a science credit, take this course. Dead easy so long as you review notes for the quizzes. Participation a laugh. Hearing Rao describe the eruptive force of a volcano will make you wonder what passion simmers in the heart of a geologist. Recommended!

Tough cumulative final, but good teacher. Very professional, prepared for class, explains clearly. I'll remember a lot of things I learned inclass. Don't buy the book-it's not required, only recommended. If you go to all her lectures, her slides are great, you don't need the book. Don't ever be late to class-she'll ask you a lot of questions!

Good teacher. I would not say she is EASY, but she is def not hard. As long as you take notes, and study the study guides before the tests, and to the extra credit you will get an A. (Which IS a 95)

I'm having a hard time with the math in this class, and my grade's not great, but I still love her. She's cute, witty, cares about students, a fair grader, and really passionate about the subject. She makes you feel the subject is interesting and cool too. She won a teaching award this year.
