He's a nice guy but I didn't prefer his teaching. He lectures the whole time as you write down EVERYTHING he is saying. You have to do the readings, and the quizzes and tests are mostly fill in the blank with no answer key, so you really need to know everything. There's 2 tests, 2 quizzes, 2 essays. Attendance isn't mandatory, but you need the info

Dr. Kincade is great at what he does. There are no surprises in this class, as everything is laid out for you. He gives plenty of time to complete assignments, and tells you exactly what is expected of you. I haven't been left to guess on anything. He is also really approachable.

I had him for US History to 1865. He is an incredible professor and you can really see his passion for history when he lectures. If you enjoy history, definitely try to take his class. You take a lot of notes, but he definitely tests you on what the notes say, so there are no surprises. He's very nice, helpful, and willing to work with you.

He's a great professor. He's the textbook definition of a professor. I had him for his US History Before 1865, and he did a fantastic job. The only thing is that you have to write your notes, a lot. But he doesn't test you on things he didn't teach. He is very focused on specific incidents/people and makes sure you know what he's teaching.

Very nice guy , did not prefer his way of teaching. He talks and you have to write down every word he says , or you will fail the class . He does not give you a chance to improve your grade . He will not give you full credit for almost anything . 50+ pages of notes , will not be specific on what to study .even if you do your best you may not get A

I took Dr. Kincade in his two classes of History Before & Since 1895, and he easily is my favorite professor across the board in 2 years in classes. He is blunt and everything he speaks in his lectures WRITE IT DOWN. A couple questions may come from the books but 95% come from what he says. Overall a great guy who I keep in touch with. Take him!

2 tests & projects. Get ready to write down every single thing the guy says. Anything he says and you do are fair game, even in movies and articles. If he says the same thing 4 times then write it down. He's really funny, personable, and smart. I recommend him. Tests are short answeressay but you have a lot of choices for the essay. Take him.

Funny guy and really knows his stuff. Took him for Hist since 1865. Class is interesting and he tries to make you know and understand the material. Expects a lot of reading, if you are not taking a lot of hard classes or other classes that require reading then don't take him. His exams are short answer and essay which is a downer.

Dr. Kincade definitely knew his subject matter. Most of his lectures are verbal, but he does show videos regularly to reinforce material. You need to do the reading and take notes to pass, but there are only two major papers, two quizzes, and two tests throughout the semester. You definitely need to take good notes to pass.

Tough tests, but if you study you will be fine. Gives a lecture for the majority of the class. Assigns no homework other than reading, but nobody ever does it. One or two papers assigned. Bland subject, cool guy though.

Majority of lectures are spoken. He will write key terms on the board. TAKE GOOD NOTES! If you don't do the reading, you won't do well. Simple as that. Quiz/test content comes from readings & lectures. You need to write an essay on a book. He's knows his stuff. Great humor & sarcasm. You get what you give in this class, so work hard!

Lots of information. He just lectures while writing a few key terms on the board. Do the reading! Quizzes/tests are few questions that have to do with A LOT of info/readings. Essay papers are easy! Write notes, bring a laptop, maybe even record him? he's a smart, funny, sarcastic professor and I think he's great at what he does.

Kincade is awesome. He is very blunt but not in a bad way. DO THE READING. Everything on the tests are discussed briefly in class. He talks really really fast so make your notes in quick bullet points. Also, if you close your eyes he sounds like Tom Hanks.

He lectures most of the time and writes on the board the broad ideas of what he will talk about in class. It's really not that hard unless you HATE history. Pay attention in class and you will do fine on the quizes and test. You should study cause it's a lot to memorize, but you don't have to remember dates! Definitely buy the books too.

DO NOT TAKE THIS CLASS UNLESS YOU CAN MEMORIZE AND WRITE NOTES EXTREMELY QUICK! No power points were used and he hardly wrote on the board. He talks too fast and his tests are so hard. He doesn't tell you what is on it. Sometimes you had to study 70+ years of info and not know if it will be on the test/quiz. Wish I would have known before taking.

If you like history or find it interesting, you will like this class and have no problem being in it. He definitely LOVES what he does, but he's not over passionate. He cracks small history jokes, there corny but funny, if you know history. Definitely keeps you awake and interested during class. Grading is fair and all essays are simple.

I absolutely hate the way he grades. He'll put a "B" at the end of the essay and write good comment...ok then why did I get a B?! So annoying.
