The worst professor ever. Be careful as he is a tough grader on assigned work/quizzes/test. The homework is time consuming. The tests are like the homework, but he throws some curveballs in there, which are confusing.

Rotarius simply expects you to work hard for your A. He constantly cites the fact that he is expecting no more from you than your current or future boss would, which is the truth. Just do the reading, study the homework problems inside and out, and for the love of all that is holy follow every single one of his assignment directions to the letter.

Homework and group work are easy (I doubt he even reads them), just make sure to follow the formatting guidelines to the T. Tests are fair, open book and based off of the homework. It's a graduate level class, people. Apply yourself and you will do well. Fair professor, gives a little EC towards end of course if he feels it's warranted.

He's the only option for this class at the graduate level. Took him for accounting before finance 1 and 2. The accounting class was a lot harder than finance. You must study the test are fair but you must do the HW and FYI use your resources and look for the problems (answers he does not give you) they most likely be on the test. He's hard yes!!!

Uses class time to do meaningless assignments, does not teach the material at all. Tests are hard, reading finance on the page is not easy. Having someone explain finance is crucial. Do not take this professor, no one leaves the class feeling it was a good experience. One person in our class did well, he was an undergrad Finance major.

I have taken him for all 3 HSA finance courses. He is a hard professor but don't let that discourage you. If you do the homework, study, and follow his directions (which are very specific) you will succeed. If you need help don't be afraid to visit him during office hours or e-mail him. Make an effort in the course and you will get an A or B.

He gives you a syllabus that lists the reading chapters and assignments that will be covered during the semester. He is so clear that he even provides the dates to when you should be done reading one chapter. It has helped me keep up with his class. His grading criteria is clear-cut, so there is NO reason why people are getting bad grades.

You work for your grade. Be careful, he pairs you up with like graders in Finance 2. It's group work heavy and you have homework that's due while you do the group assignments. The homework isn't hard, just time consuming. The tests are like the homework, but he definitely throws some curveballs in there, which can be confusing.

Step 1: Don't skip class or you will get kicked out of your group and have to do it yourself. Step 2: Read the chapter. He basically reviews ONE chapter in class and that's it. For tests, STUDY the practice questions he gives you inside and out and then backwards. The assignments (2) are not hard, but make sure you type them and use his format.

Dr. Rotarius is impossible. Exams are supposed to be right from the hw assignments but when test day comes its like you are reading gibberish. He does NOT give lectures so prepare to teach yourself the material. He is also vague when he explains what is expected of you for each assignment. There are 2 group papers and 2 presentations.

What an AWFUL professor! He uses two textbooks-- a finance book and a case book. All of your in class discussions and assignments are on cases, that he doesn't even explain, but your exams are on financial equations that you "should have taught yourself". His papers require you to not exceed 45 words/paragraph but then says you didn't explain.

Lecture is mostly the professor's autobiography. Only discusses finance after test has been taken. Grading is wildly inconsistent. I feel significant pride in doing well, but only because I worked hard to teach myself the material. The professor seems to be biding his time until retirement.

You might have a heart attack after reading his syllabus but don't be discouraged because he just wants to be thorough. He is very nice, quirky even, in person. As long as you follow directions you won't lose any points on assignments. Gives you 3 hours for tests so PLENTY of time. He uses the same book for FIN 1 and 2 so take him over Masry.

His classes are not easy, but if you follow his specific instructions you will certainly pass. You will work for an A, but it is what it is. His syllabus is very clear and is expected to be followed. I enjoyed him a lot and had him for 3 classes and would take another class of his if given the opportunity. Oh, and no special favors for anyone!

The worst teacher ever!!! Do not take if you are planning on graduating in the same semester. Does not help out at all, tests doesnt even come out of the textbook. Takes forever to release grades and does not let you review wrong answers on the test. Beware! Won't be able to graduate until next semester...

Ahh. Prof. Rotarious. This was my 3rd course with him. So I expected the strictness of his teachings. Jus turn in the assignments and the exams ON TIME, and will get good grade in return. I strive for an A but always get a B in his course. Dont take him if you are not self-discipline.
