Comment:

I thought she was a good teacher. She expects perfection on a hundred point grade system, which is a very formidable challenge. However if she sees you put in effort, it won't go unnoticed. Not a class to be taken lightly, she expects 100% attendance and 100% effort, and even when I gave it 110% I only made out with a 'B' in the course.

This class was very interesting. The lectures were very informative as well as highly detailed, delivered with a clear demonstration of knowledge for the material covered. It was an honor to be taught by such a distinguished professional. To those who disagree I would have to say some day maturity may set in but its not likely.

Dr. Betz is a great teacher. She's very spazzy and active. She is highly intelligent and knows how to teach and make the class interesting.If a student doesnt pay attention in class or acts out in whatever way she makes them pretty miserable. Pay attention in class and take notes and you'll do fine. Otherwise she targets you.

Took online course, it was dumb, the only time I got answers right, was when I copied and pasted directly from her lecture notes, and anytime I tried to put the answers from my point of view, or did outside research for my answers I was graded poorly. Personally I think she is full of it!! Not a class to take if you are trying for an easy credit!!

Teacher is ridiculous, I found so many typos in her lectures & her expectations of students is outrageous. I've taken other online classes & found hers to be very unorganized, difficult to follow. She makes you enter discussions that don't pertain to the materials presented, Her tests are written responses that usually aren't in the lecture.

She is inconcistent with her quizes and grading. I worked very hard in her class to get a 78. it killed my GPA. I worked harder for her class than any of my others. I'm not a bad student this semester I had 3 A's 1 B and then the C I received from her class. The class is good, the teacher is horrible.

I took her class a few years ago and have to leave a comment on how she is the most intelligent teacher I have ever had. She really knows what she is talking about and makes you think about things on a different level. She makes things interesting and requires you actaully use your brain. If I had the chance I would take another one of her classes.

Dr. Betz is a nice and interesting teacher. I'd have to say that the subject matter and the book helped shed some light on how Anthropologists regard human evolution and how archaeological findings are interpreted by anthropologists. I took the class as a requirement but I enjoyed it as if an elective.

Comment:

Ms. Betz is an enthusiastic instructor who will help any student who asks for it. Any student who is willing to invest their time and effort will do fine. Students are encouraged to ask for help if needed. Student effort counts with her and she is easy to talk to. I've thoroughly enjoyed both classes with this instructor.
