The first assignment took two weeks. The expected time is two days. You're pretty much going to get a B- on every assignment and then you have to do well on an extremely difficult final project. It's harder than my other classes combined! Get anything lower than a 85% and you don't move on in your ICS major. Felt like you have to give up and fail.

If you want a good foundation of programming, take this guy's 111 and 211 courses. He will make you work (programming assignment after every lecture) but you will know your stuff coming out of this class. He does a great job of explaining the material, and really got me prepared for the next level when I transferred to UH. Highly recommend this guy

He is one of the best if not the best computer science teacher you will ever take. He is very in key with the students and is a very funny guy. He makes learning fun even though some of the assignments are a little difficult. Overall he is a very good teacher and cool guy.

He is a cool guy. but when it comes to his lecture, he doesnt explain the material clearly that some students who are new to Java are suffering in this course. i recommend to go to lab to finish up with assignments because he and his TA will help you out.

William is a fun guy, likes to surf and be relaxed, but as a professor he's not very cool. He doesn't explain things clearly and he's not very creative with his teaching style. Pretty much he's memorized the stuff, and now he's regurgitating it for you. Unfortunately, you don't have very many other options if your an ICS major, so good luck!

He taught his material very well. Awesome surfer dude who's really smart, and not as clueless as he seems. Very helpful and understanding of what your troubles are if you bring them up to him. Sometimes, his Southern accent comes out when he lectures. It's funny..hahahah.
