boring lecture, doesn't explain things well and then moves on anyway, if you like genetics, you'll be teaching this class to yourself. marks off things on tets he shouldn't and tends to take off a lot, needs to learn to be more student friendly on grading, we are not grad school. avoid.

Interesting material covered, but poor delivery. Second test especially difficult. Quizzes are not always good indicators for tests. Be prepared to fall asleep during class. However, really interested students should not shy away just because he is boring.

A nice guy, but one of the worst lecturers I've ever had at Bowdoin. I used to love Genetics but his class influenced me to drop a Bio major completely. Test are difficult, hard grader. Only for the most motivated.

Very good teacher. A little tough with intro courses but pretty amazing for upper level classes. I took a seminar in human genetics with him. A little dry (boring) in lecture but very informative and willing to help and doesnt hold back... honest.

You have to get along with him and pick up his style fast to get a good grade from him. If he likes you because he thinks you're into the subject, that helps a lot. Can be a tough grader for some people. Boring lecturer, but nice guy!
