Yoshi will prolly be the best professor Ill ever have. Class is easy all you really need to do is be there and work on your assignments. Theres 3 sets of assignments and I wasnt too pressed on time for any of them. Only had homework twice and theres opportunity for extra credit. Easy goin dude with, he wont ask you to do anything you cant.

Had him for 3d design and Landmarks of Art. He wants you to succeed and will tell it like it is. May take a bit to get used to him, but he's very passionate about art (being a working artist in particular) and will absolutely help you to achieve that. Take Art 290! Camp, hike, discuss, create open medium, laugh, be mentored. I really respect him.

He told me, in front of the class, if I didn't hurry up and pick a major I'll just get knocked up and work at a starbucks.

Yoshi is one of my favorite professors at MiraCosta. He cares about his students, but he's brutally honest. He gives you what you NEED to hear, not what you want to hear. He's more of an inspiring mentor than a professor. Tips: TAKE ONE OF HIS CLASSES. There's a pop quiz every class, but listen and take notes, you'll be fine.

Landmark of Arts with Yoshi was one of the best school experiences I have ever had. I am so thankful for this class. Yoshi is one of the best professors at Miracosta and this course is beyond rad. If you love to camp and want to venture in to the conceptual world of Art, then sign up in spring and don't miss this one. You will be stoked you did!

Literally the most pretentious egotistical person I've ever been forced to listen to. If you love art stay away, if you want an easy class with a teacher who believes his word is law about art then sign right up.

Yoshi is a funny guy and definitely knows how to get his students into a deeper learning of Art. But the only thing I really didn't appreciate was his pompous and arrogant attitude. To the point where having your own art style was suppressed because he felt that his opinion was the only one that mattered at times.

This class is easy. Attend or he'll threat to drop you. I don't like the teacher. He's full of himself! At first I thought he was funny, but then it turns out that he's really annoying, idiotic, and weird. If you're a serious art student, avoid this class, it'll get you no where because he fails at teaching.

Not a very nice guy. Picks who he wants to be helpful to and ignores others. Acts very put out when you do ask for assistance if you are not one of his favorites. Loves to hear himself talk.

Yoshi has a huge ego. Loves to ridicule his students for not having traveled enough, not being up on current events... ... The class is more a forum for Yoshi to be on stage, flirt with girl students and feel like he is great. Not recommended. Man is way too into himself to teach.

I hated the class, I loved Yoshi... I have no artistic talent so sculpture was definitely not the class for me, although I could never have a bad day with Yoshi as a professor... I recomend his class if you like art!

Yoshi was awesome.Always willing to help and provide suggestions. But he makes you work! Art is all about what you put into it, if you fake it, your art will suffer. He doesn't hold back on criticism, but listen and you will become a better artist! He definitely loves what he teaches. This is a very fun class -- he even has tea time!

I loved taking his class! He was extremely helpful and passionate about ceramics. He starts you at the beginning and works you up to doing more complicated pieces. He sometimes get distracted when you ask him for help because he is helping someone else, but just remind him that you need help and he is happy to assist. Awesome class!

Yoshi is super cool. I love his teaching style, someone who will let you jump into it - and then give you more direction when you are struggling.. He doesnt talk too much, and if he does he has interesting stories. He will make you work, but in the end you know that you actailly have learned something.

Yoshi's the best teacher I've ever taken! He taught me alot about ceramics that i want to major in it. you can make the crappiest stuff in class and still get an A but i encourage u to test your limits and try and make something that you would actually buy on the market. good luck and have fun!

Hmmm, art is a fascinating world and these classes naturally tend to be enjoyed more than Math or Business, BUT I the professor came across to me as rude and just average in his teaching. Yes, take any sculpture/painting/drawing class and you likely will enjoy it, but it doesn't have to be with this guy.

He's an awesome teacher! He's hilarious & extremely passionate about ceramics. He expects a lot out of you, but is there to help you along the way. The class is a lot more work than I expected it to be, but I am loving it! Don't be alarmed if he breaks a piece of the advanced students pottery, they expect it & it's to help everyone learn by seeing!

yoshi tends to favor attractive girls and art majors. i found the underlying sexual tension between him and his fanclub very very offensive. it wasn't anything that was necessarily said, but he definitely talks to, and praises, the girls more than the guys. heaven help you if you are just a business major guy who wants to expand his horizons.
