Kassam was a great prof! Really knowledgable about the subject, yet made sure she didn't dominate the discussion. She was also there for me when I was having tough times.

When Prof. Kassam talks, she is very smart and makes good points--except she never talks. The entire class is student presentations (1.5h) and watching a documentary (1.5h). She never lectures, gives discussion questions, or basically does anything during the class session, which I don't understand. Also, essays take up to a month to return.

A LOT of reading, but she doesn't make you buy books, mostly. (.pdfs printed with print quota ftw!) She's always willing to help if you need it, but isn't easy to get ahold of in general. Really nice on grading - she's tough when she grades, but she's pretty lax on letting folks turn in stuff late. Great sense of humor.

Professor Kassam's reading list is challenging and complex. She leads mostly lecture, some discussion, classes that provide clarity to the material. Excellent professor- she's always available to help outside of class.
