Although he is a nice teacher, and willing to help, I have found his clarity and teaching style very difficult. Out of a class of 100+ only about 5-10 show up due to this.

I thought he was pretty decent. His lecture notes and examples were excellent. He explained the theory and examples efficiently enough. Although a little hard to understand at times, his accent is much more bearable than most other profs.

Helpful prof. Basically gave the answers to one assignment for we didnt get to cover all the material for it yet, and did a step-by-step walkthrough for it so everyone would understand. Beware of which T.A he has doing the seminars though! T.A. only explains one way and has a hard time explaining procedure. Notes all online

He's aweful. Hard to understand and it doesn't help that the class is boring. Midterm was very unfair. Class exapmples didn't resemble what we needd to know for the exam

Dr.Xia is probably the best professor in mechanical engineering at the U of A. I missed a ton of classes because I was sick, and he let me hand in assignments weeks from when they were due. He cares about his students a lot, and wants them to succeed.

Coolest accent in the entire world. A wonderfully superbly eccentric teacher. That can do the splits -Pat
