So unless you want to read 4 novels and a 600-page anthology, I'd say do not take this course unless you have to. You will NOT pass if you do not read AND memorize a quote-to-author question on quizzes. Also there are 2 tests with 2 parts, aside from quizzes, AND 2 papers. The last paper you turn in is the first part of the final exam.

Responding to the comments below, ZZ basically has perfect English and she is very intelligent. Super down to earth and is always willing to help you out! She will reach out if she notices you are struggling. Everybody loved her and I wish I could take her again if it wasn't for my schedule. Do your work, show up to class and you'll be respected.

I really enjoyed the class. It is certainly a hard class if you don't keep yourself on schedule. Whenever I emailed her with a question she would email me within the same day with the question. She certainly wants to see you succeed in her class. I would definitely recommend her.

So far with this teacher, my experiences are bad. She picks out every little detail if you are bad at something. And instead of teaching you she makes you feel dumb. She is an English teacher and told our class she "isn't very good at spelling"

She is a very nice lady. I took Chinese because it was the only liberal that fit into my schedule and I absolutely loved it. I studied about 45 minutes a night, and maybe even longer the nights before quizzes. Write everything down and have fun with it,and you'll do fine.

really nice lady. classes weren't that bad, but she takes a little getting used to...contradicts herself sometimes and seems to forget a lot of what you tell her. good teacher though, take her.

Nice and helpful, and was more than willing to meet with students if you had questions or concerns regarding an assignment. She was, however, also a really tough grader, didn't know her syllabus very well, and gave a lot of work. But I did learn a lot, so overall I'm satisfied.

She has absolutely no idea what she's talking about. The entire class is based mainly on one group proposal and four individual assignments. She doesn't care when you turn things in. I learned absolutely nothing from her. If you can avoid taking this class with her, do it at all costs.
