He's definitely knowledgeable and resourceful. Really not that exciting of a teacher and the classes are long, but he gives good feedback. Attendance is pretty mandatory and he notices if you leave halfway. Not bad, but not great.

Mandatory pop quizzes every week. You will not stay for the remainder of the class as the course content is not important to the midterm/finals, although he knows this is the case since half the class leaves following the quiz. Very respectful teacher, gives good feedback and encourages participation. Overall cool guy

Great teacher who is accessible outside class and gives good feedbacks on assignments. Be aware of news quizz every week which can sometimes be a little difficult. You do not need to work hard but efforts will be required for the final and midterm.

Classes aren't mandatory but there is a current events quiz with questions from the readings also. Easy marks if you show up and know slightly whats going on in the world. Gives really interesting lectures and actually knows what he is talking about... Great class, easy to do well, if you do the assignments

This journalist is an amazing professor. Very challenginghe makes you think, analyze and challenge his thoughts instead of impose his own. JOUR 210 and JOUR 215 are the most interesting courses Ive followed at Concordia thanks to this guy. He gives you really great feedback on your assignments. Ive earned lots of A+. Pay attention to pop-quizzes

Really good prof who won't pull any punches when it comes to grading and critiquing your articles. Heavy workload with one assignment per week on average. Covers a wide range of areas. Those who are negative about his class are people who want an easy A for doing nothing.

Makes you earn your grade. Challenges his students rather than baby them. People complaining about his teaching style will never become working journalists, as the whole point of the class is to instill a sense of initiative and accountability. Who cares how he marks, I learned more in this class than any other journalism class.

Made the class boring. Criticized journalists who don't know simple math yet had no idea how to do the simplest equation. If you take his class, you can get by, but barely, and definitely won't enjoy it.

Great with crime and health beats but doesn't know anything about economics, which hurts when you teach it! He's disorganized. On the other hand he's not trying to avoid anyone and makes thorough research when he doesn't know.

Disorganized. Thinks students aren't students, but already out in the field, which is a clashing notion actually in the field. Nice guy, means well, but is a little confused. Fun and relevant assignments.

kind of unapproachable. also, he never knows what else to write as a comment except for: "improve the clarity and grammar of your writing." and when he writes something like "excellent job!" with no other comments, and gives you a**** mark, he leaves you wondering where the hell it came from.
