I wanted to LOVE this class. At first I genuinely enjoyed it too. Unfortunately I faced many unexpected hardships this semester and wasn't able to do well. Instead of being understanding about my circumstances, she called me out during class and made me cry afterward. I dropped this class that same day. This class was not worth the anxiety attack

Very nice and super sweet. Schedules mandatory conferences so you do get to know her. You write ALOT, but that was to be expected, and most are only 500 words. Average grader, but helpful feedback. More than willing to help you out.

Tough grader. She would go over papers in front of the whole class and call you out for mistakes. She was definitely kind of rough and sometimes even rude. I don't think she means to be rude but it came off that way. Also your grade on Blackboard is NOT what you have in class. She does not make that clear. Lots of required textbooks/reading, too.

She is very helpful when is comes to homework in her class. She isn't a very lenient grader but she also isn't really tough. I would take her class again in a heart beat!

I took this class online but it was also hybrid so we met once a month. I truly enjoyed her class, and yes she has you do a lot of papers but it's a writing embedded class. I think she is fair, fun and a great teacher!! She also is clear on her assignments, and always makes herself available. I would definitely take another one of her classes.

She's a really tough grader. She can also be really rude. Like, she's trying to be sarcastic but then she just ends up insulting the better half of the class. When you ask her question, she doesn't really answer it.

Dr. Hoeness-Krupsaw is awesome! She has a ridiculous amount of knowledge, and is super, super nice. I took her for Canadian Lit and though I didn't like every book we read, I always enjoyed our class discussions. She is willing to help you, all you have to do is ask!

I do not recommend taking this professor. She was rude and when I would email her, she wouldn't even reply back with the correct name. She helped me tremendously on a paper when i came to her office for help, but she still gave me a low grade for it. I don't think she means it, but her comments to students are just rude.

Very reading oriented class, which was to be expected. I loved the reading assignments for the most part. Fairly easy grader but you are expected to participate as part of your grade. The papers were not difficult. She was very pleasant and engaging. I would definitely take her again!

Dr. Krupsaw is easily one of my favorite professors. I'm an English major, but I have to admit I didn't have a ton of interest in American Literary History before this class. She made it interesting, and the class was very doable- as long as you kept up with the readings! Overall- a very sweet woman and a fantastic professor!

She is a fair, competent teacher. I was told to visit her during office hours, and that is what I did. She proofed my draft paper. I cleaned up what she suggested and banked an "A" on every paper. Had I known this, I would have taken her for ENG 201 too!

She's not always clear on what specific things you need to know for the tests or what exactly she wants for her papers (it seems like you're better off winging it than putting in a whole lot of effort), but I learned a lot in this class. She's very nice and approachable. Several non-English majors did better than English majors. Go to class!!

She is very sweet and helpful. I took her Intro to American Lit. History. Be sure to read the material, even if you skim, because the Midterm was tough and the Essays are harder without knowing the material. If you skip a few YOU WILL GET BEHIND. She was an awesome professor and I wouldn't mind having her for another class.

I liked this class, she is a hard paper grader but people need to work harder to get the grades they deserve. She was always available outside of class and regularly encouraged us to visit her if we needed help. She also provides chances for extra credit, so if you miss a quiz or get a bad grade, you can make it up.
