Self important opinionated professor. No appreciation for other views. Makes up statistics to suit her views - even when her own reference materials disagree.

Information presented in class is outdated, treats students with annoyance/disdain (more so during office hours), doesn't tolerate other opinions on subject matter (whether more liberal or conservative),...I would say more, but this site would delete my comment.

I learned more from this class than any class that I have taken in college. She knows her stuff and wants you to learn just as much. Go to class and participate and she will love you.

Memorize every word of the readings, attend the lectures. Class quality is not too great average. The professor's teaching is ok, but her personality is horrible. She is basically an idiot, not caring or humane. Doesn't care about the students, not helpful or understanding. I would advise not to take the class, not worth spending tuition money on.

Lectures are fairly interesting, but almost 100% not needed for tests. Tests were annoying because they are all based on memorization-questions were basically quotes from the readings. She is a fairly easy paper grader. The class wasn't bad, but I didn't really learn anything new. Kind of intimidating prof, but still nice.

She thinks she is a lot greater than she really is. She doesn't use a book or go over/even mention readings. Her tests are INCREDIBLY specific but do-able. If you have any background knowledge, it will probably surpass what she teaches in class. Seriously, she plays Lifetime movies for examples. Guest lectures are interesting though.

Tests are difficult. Seems to have favorites in the class. Intimidating and not easy to talk to. I'm going to graduate school for health care admin, and this class did not appropriately test my intelligence on the subject.

Women's Health was immensely interesting and I learned alot. However, her instructions for papers are vague and her exams are complete bogus. Its like she picks out random facts from the readings and the lecture. Use your TAs, they're really friendly and helpful!

I took her Ethics course several years ago (as was required for MHA) and learned a heck of a lot. She is a real expert in the field and the course was very much worthwhile. I can speak from experience (now) that I have a good understanding of the ethical framework for my professional field.

tests were a ****-- details, specifics rather than concepts. BUT, you will learn a lot. Skip the $90 textbook-- it's covered in lecture. Join section with a friend and split up the readings, then teach each other. Too much material to cover alone.

This course sounds a lot easier than it actually is. Although the problem lies in the tests and not the rest of the course. The material used is a lot outdated and requirements are considerable from students. However, lectures are fun.

Human Sexuality could have been a great course, with a different prof! All Parrot does in lecture is read her notes, which she posts online. Suggestion: go to lecture to see the movies, but bring something else to do while she talks. Sections are stupid.
