Hands down, best professor ever. Lectures are entertaining as hell and keep you fully engaged, but are still well organized and chalk-full of content. Make sure to do all the reading, because he gives weekly quizzes. Participation is key. Grades very fairly.

People complaining about how hard Fiorelli is didn't put in enough work. He has high, but not unreasonable expectations. I worked harder than my other classes, but the class didn't kill me. To do well, outline everything on the syllabus, comment in class, write good reflections (I spent 20-30 min on each one), and do your research paper early.

He is so full of himself. Every single powerpoint consists of himself doing an interview with some news crew. Cannot stand the man, he has issues. The class is brutal, extremely boring! You will fall asleep in it, because he is extremely monotone. BLAW 300 class is like taking an actual law school class, he expects way too much

His lectures are thought provoking and interesting. He clearly loves what he's teaching and wants to impact his students' ethical compass. Nonetheless, a lot of reading... a lot of work. Quizzes at the beginning of almost all classes. You will work for an A, but I wouldn't say it's hard to get an A.

This professor definately prides himself on keeping class interesting. The big workload in this class is the huge paper. Get someone to help you with the video (filming and editing) and that project is a joke. Would recommend this prof.

Professor Fiorelli was a great prof. You could definitely tell he was interested in teaching the subject and very enthusiastic. I thought the class was very fair, even though some of the reflections were time consuming because the topics weren't interesting enough, etc. But over all a very fair grader and interesting prof.

Bus. Ethics through Film was entertaining - good movie choices - and led to some good discussions. I earned 2 A's from Prof. F and I can tell you the formula: 1) Read. 2) Contribute intelligently to class discussions. 3) Blog about the topic, its relevance to you, and how it impacts business. I highly recommend this Prof., but expect to work hard.

Never a boring class, interesting with lots of vids, props, and convo. Quizes, but no tests! Convo gets out of hand pretty frequently as that's a big part of the grade, so it becomes dominated by a few people and often goes on random tangents. Large Paper, but wasn't too bad for me. Most people get B+/A-, he gives very few As. I got A-.

Class participation is important (discussion and reflective blogs) both for your growth and your grade. He uses film clips and some hokey tricks to keep his class entertaining. In general, makes you think and workload is a little more than some classes, but about what I would expect for a graduate level class.

Good professor, but there are some things you should know before you take him. #1 You probbably wont get an A. Mabye an A- but not an A. #2 You'll put in 2-3 hours per week outside of class for that A-. #3 Attendance is MANDATORY, not flexible here. #4 Class participation is a huge part of the grade. Do not take this class if you want an "A" as this professor will make it as hard as possible for you to get one. Massive amounts of work. Weekly purposeless blogs that he doesnt respond to. He also doesnt respond to emails. Very entertaining class, but once spent 30 minutes in class doing magic tricks that had no application to the material.

PARTICIPATE!!! In class participation and writing blogs EVERY WEEK is required if you want any hope of getting an A (which is very difficult). Make sure to start the paper early - its painful! No tests, but quizzes every week from the assigned readings. Great teacher, really like his style - he keeps it interesting and makes time fly. PARTICIPATE!!

This class was bittersweet for me. Yes the classes are entertaining and go by fairly fast...but you really don't learn alot. Reminds me alot of HRES 200. Also, Fiorelli is fun during class but not very helpful or friendly outside...participate like its your life.

One of my fav prof at Xavier. He puts so much time in his powerpoints and makes it fun with jokes and music and jeopardy games, etc. Usually never bored in the class. Grades hard on the paper. HAVE to participate in this class. VERY good class!
