Comment:
April is so sweet and helpful. There was a quiz on the reading every week, and a reading response due every week. Then there were two essays instead of a midterm and a final. She gives great feedback, and you're allowed to revise all your work to get a better grade. As long as you do the work and follow her instructions, you should have no trouble.

Comment:
Boring class that's kind of preachy. Lots of repetitive work. Lots of work in small groups. Mostly student-taught, which while I'm sure it's easier for the prof. it makes for a weak learning experience. Probably the least useful class I've taken so far for this degree.

Dr. April is very knowledgable and very open minded. Unlike other professors, she actually prepares you for employment in the public sector. As a first gen. grad student I can't emphasize how much her classes has benefited me personally and professionally. She is the reason why I am still pursuing this MPA degree @ CSU Stanislaus.

Has a lot of weekly reading and writing assignments with required critical reflection and analysis from 2-3 books. The workload can be overwhelming, but if you show up to class and put in the effort, you will find yourself learning a lot. She is very helpful and open to helping students and change. One of the greatest mentor/teacher I have had.

Dr. April rules! I took 3 MPA classes from her before moving out of state. In each of the classes I took from her, she was well organized and the classes were enjoyable! I have learned a great deal from her and highly recommend that students take any class she teaches! She is knowledgeable about every subject she teaches and cares about students!

Wonderful professor. I learned an amazing amount about the world bank, the IMF, and the state of the world in general. I don't think I ever had a kinder or more more engaged professor.

She will run you over with a whirlwind of a lesson, and leave you begging for more. This woman can teach! She is incredibly insightful, has excellent communications skills, and will load you down with enough homework to break your book bag.

The workload is overwhelming and she is not very sypathetic about it. It is virtually impossible to complete all the work that she expects. She is very enthusiastic about teaching. Teaches class like a graduate program.
