Dr. Campbell is great! The class is hard. Nothing about electricity & magnetism are intuitive to me, but he makes the class doable. It requires a lot of studying, but he is very helpful and willing to work with you. The class is structured to help you succeed. I didn't like the class, but I'm glad that I took it from him. He makes it suck less:)

This class is challenging, but Prof. Campbell makes it doable. His lectures have lots of fun demos but can be a bit abstract with harder concepts. Find a good study group for the homework and you will figure it out. He really cares about his students and about how we are doing in class and wants to challenge us to help us learn.

Very do-able class. Show up, do the labs and do the post-lab quiz and summary. There is also a paper on anything you can relate to physics, but other than that easy class. Only warning is that because it is so easy, an A is a 97, A- is a 93, B+ is a 90 and so forth. However, an A is very do-able.

Dr. Campbell has been my best professor at BYU so far. I highly recommend taking any class that you can from him if you're a Physics major. You don't get grades for going to his lectures, but they are worth going to. He likes to delve deep into the material, so if you're not a Physics major then maybe he'll be a bit difficult for your taste.

Dr. Campbell is an amazing human being. He's actually one of the most caring people I've met in my life, and he really respects and loves his students. All of his tests are take-home and open book, but they're still pretty tricky and there's 7 of them plus the final. Definitely not an easy professor, but he helps you learn the content very well.

Professor Campbell is great! I love how he opens each class with a spiritual thought and a prayer. Professor Campbell is a real gentleman and all of us students respect him. I thoroughly enjoyed each of his lectures and learned a lot.

Dr. Campbell is awesome! It really surprised me to see low ratings on him- he is not the easiest of professors, but his power points are crystal clear, and openly accessible while in the class. He does a very good job of preparing you to know what information is going to be on the tests too. He is very helpful at office hours too if you drop by.

Physics 107 is the easiest course on earth and I really loved it. Just make sure to write the lab summaries well.

Coming into this class, I already knew a few things about the material, specifically the circuits section with resistors. I found the class very interesting, and enjoyed his slides and explanations. He did demos almost every week, which were quite fun. You can bring a summaries book into the tests and final, make sure you take advantage of it!

Dr. Campbell isn't the best lecturer I've had, but he knows the material inside and out and does his best to help you understand it. All the exams were take home tests, he was extremely respectful toward students and their questions, and he is genuinely interested in your performance. Tests and assignments are frequent but fair.

I highly recommend Dr. Campbell for Physics 220. You can take an extremely helpful course packet into the exams with you. He is very respectful of students and soft-spoken. He is very Ivy-league smart and never uses filler words when he talks. The course material is very difficult, so make sure you take it from Dr. Campbell. Extra credit!

Choose him if you really want to understand the proof, calculus behind the concepts you learn. He seems to skim through a lot very quickly in class so plan on doing the reading as well as the homework to stay on top of understanding stuff. He's friendly and very willing to help you on a one-to-one basis. Hard class. The grading curve is lovely.

Literally CANNOT take physics and put it in simpler terms. Doesn't have the vocabulary to do it. I was lost the whole time but the TA's helped me and the class was easy enough that I still got an A

About as useless as the rest of the physics department. Occasionally he'd reveal a useful formula in class, or say something you had to know for tests(which were fair, in my opinion...which was a minority opinion). He hints that he has to teach the way he does. Incredibly awkward person. Smart, but awkward, and a poor teacher overall.

Typical physics class. Do the homework and go to class and you'll do ok. He is always willing to help and talk to him after the tests and he will try to help you understand. Not the greatest teacher but he loves what he does and that makes his lectures interesting. The material in class isn't the level of detail needed for the test, luckily.

Don't take this class from him if you can help it!!! He doesn't teach anything...just clicks through his power points. The only people who did very well in this class had prior experience with the concepts in other classes. You have i-clicker quizzes, that's about all lecture is good for. He's a nice guy but he can't teach.

Nice guy, extremely fair grading....has iclicker quizzes daily on whether you did your reading. Lectures are worthless besides the points from the quizzes. Pretty mediocre teacher.

I like physics, but this branch of it is a bit more abstract than I'm used to. Professor Campbell had good demonstrations and was very nice, but I often lost track of where he was going with his explanations.
