He's a nice enough guy but you are for sure not a priority in his class as an undergrad student. He can be late and his lectures while helpful are definitely not enough to pass the exam. Be prepare to use the textbook. As he puts it - you're to use him as a last resort for help, so prepare yourself for self study.

Dr. Finley is very entertaining and engaging, however I found his lectures not helpful for the exam at all. I thought that the questions he gave on the final were not up to par with the material he covered in class. But nevertheless, he is very funny and i didn't fall asleep in his class....

Very engaging professor and interesting lectures.. one of the few I look foward to. Knows his material well and it shows. However, studying from his in-class content is not as useful, he is a good prof to listen to but not neccessarily to take a course from. Still a professor I would enjoy as a guest speaker or a lecturer without exams.
