Comment:
Miller is genuinely interested in AHIS and teaching it to his students. I found myself falling asleep often though. Also don't listen to people who say it's an easy class. True he gives a study guide but to get a good grade you need to listen and memorize a bunch of artists and art names. Only reason i got an A is because i'm exceptional. Good luck

Don't listen to what lazy people are saying about him. He is a great, wonderful teacher who cares about his students. He has power point presentations and its true that you have to memorize info, but then again all classes are like that. If you are a wise student (one that comes to class and takes good notes), you will do great in his class. :)

Take this class if you like carpal tunnel and memory games. if you are a working adult you may not want to take this class in the winter or summer. We rec'd notes to memorize the night before the test. It is ridiculous to believe that this class is not about cramming. He needs to revise his methods to fit everyone, not just full time students.

He's a pleasant, decent guy. Very clear + brilliant, but organization of class isn't fair. 5 exams = grade. Mess up? Boom, your screwed. NO E.C. There's numerous readings + memorizings. I do enjoy the topic, but if you want all A's, forget this class. I learned a lot, he guides us through education, calm + clear, but lets us down w/ class grade.

I just took the class because it was a requirement. It was certainly the most challenging class I had in that semester. 5 hard test determine your grade with absoloutely no extra credit. You need to read the notes and reading assignments very carefully if you need an A. I did credit/non credit and I got an easy C.

Some students left after break during the 1st class and came back for the 2nd class to find they'd been dropped. He is paranoid about cheating and reads this website so don't rely on what is written here to be still in place when you take the class. This teacher wants you to be interested. If you show interest, he'll help. If not, why bother?

He is really a good teacher, we cover the materials really fast since only one class every week and you need to keep up with his lecture and understanding immidiately since every 2 weeks there is one test and he already change the test that many Korean with his tips have falled behind with C and D's that makes the class more fair Hahaha

his tests are all based on his notes. textbook is not necessary at all. what can I say..this class has alot of memorization but at the same time, there's just too many cheatings going on..either on the exam itself,or the some koreans had *tips* from friends who took the class before.if you're taking this class alone, it makes alot of difference.

What can be better than this? No reading required, no essay. just take notes and cram for 3 hrs before the test. since class average for each test was around 85~89 ish so you will get at least a B unless you are mentally challenged. totally recommended. Good lectures, and nice professor, easy-going class.

By far the best teacher! Do not listen to the negative comments that are posted on here. To get an A in his class all you gotta do is go to class, take notes, go home and memorize your notes and come back to class and get your A on the test. Its as simple as that, if you are not good at memorizing then this class is not for you. I enjoyed this clas

You have to memorize the notes and the study guide to get an A. There are 5 quizzes about 40 questions. If you are one point below an A he will not give it to you. His powerpoint notes are great, very clear.

This is the BEST teacher i have ever had in SMC. All you have to do is take notes, study them, and there is ABSOLUTELY NO REASON why you shouldnt get an A. However, i do have to admitt that memorizing the notes takes a long time, but if you are willing to do so, go for it!!
