i took his online course and hes just the best little british man ever and he basically writes your papers for you. plus he lets you rewrite them if you get lower than a b-. the reading was difficult to understand sometimes but he would explain it in lectures and it would all make sense after i listened to them. 100% reccommend taking his class.

carl gillet is awesome. he is an intelligent, cheery british man. god and science was a class that he made very interesting. no attendance policy, but you need to go if you want to know what is going on come time to write papers. no homework except for reading. this class is basically fueled by in class discussion. good class, good teacher

I heart Prof Gillett (rhyms with skillet)!!! He is awesome and British and funny, what more could you ask for? The workload was very reasonable and he walks you through the material. If you can get him as a professor at any time, DO IT!!!

Good teacher, his class is a ton of fun! Pay close attention and he really does write the papers for you. Go overboard on explanation if you want an easy A. And write down all the bizarre-ly hysterical things he says. It makes philo a lot more interesting.

I don't know how any other teacher is going to top CG at IWU. He's awesome. Even if you're fuzzy on a topic, it's crystal clear after class. 4 papers the 1st semester of fresh. year seems like a lot but if you pay attention, your paper is basically in your notes. My GW class made a facebook group for him. :) I love CG!

Prof. Gillett is one of the best teachers/professors I've ever had. He's not super easy, but if you do the work and put in the effort, you'll fine. His lecture are engaging and funny and he always incorporates personal stories into the topics. Plus he's nice to look at & listen to! (British accent!)

Pros - he writes everything on the board and for your paper you just type out what he wrote, and hes funny as hell.... Cons - not too sympathetic come bumping you up on a border grade. Overall, its worth taking.

Oh Gillett, what a funny guy. He's a really quirky Professor, but he is also knowledgable and helpful. Many complain about our long papers (usually double digits), but all of the information you need is right there so it isn't as difficult/time-consuming as it sounds. Overall great guy, great class!

Gillett is a funny little english man who loves what he teaches. The nice thing is that he doesn't really care whether God exists or not, so he doesn't try to persuade you one way or the other. The papers are long (the longest-19pgs), but if you pay attention in class, it is mostly regurgitation.
