Comment:
Dr. C. Jaslow is the absolute best professor at Rhodes. Anyone who thinks she is a picky grader obviously did not put in the time to study for her class. Her exams are extremely straightforward, no crazy hypotheticalsapplication questions, and she is an incredibly fair grader. There is a lot of material, but the work to grade ratio is very even.

Professor C. Jaslow is amazing! She is an excellent lecturer and she helped prepare me for my upper level biology courses. She is willing to help a student in need and a fearless chair of the biology department. 1010 would recommend; she's the best thing since sliced bread.

Horrible grader. Everything you write on tests can be correct, but if you're forgetting one small detail, you get points off. It's impossible to remember every single detail for the tests. She doesn't provide any study materials for the short answer so you have no way of preparing for such questions. Rhodes only keeps her on because of A Jaslow.

Prof. Jaslow is an excellent professor. She's very knowledgeable, and will help you understand anything you're confused about. She does grade a bit harder than the other lab professors, so just make sure to double check your work before you turn it in. Personality-wise, can be silly at times, but always kind, and loves to hear how you're doing.

Most helpful of all the 2nd semester Bio Lab professors and very flexible with lab assignments. She's a nice person, and will help you understand the material before the lab quizzes. However, very harsh grader on labs. Generally, I would recommend to take her.

Very enthusiastic and nice. Very flexible with graded assignments. Clear and easy to understand. However, more graded work than any biology I have ever been in. Lots of studying required. But most of studying involves memorizing, so not too difficult

Honestly, how can you take a Bio class at Rhodes and not expect it to be tough? That's just lazy. C Jas is a fair grader as long as you prepare well for an assignment and give it the attention it deserves. She's not unreasonable so don't be afraid of her classes - it just requires detailed note taking and a few days of memorization before tests.

she's way too picky on grading answers. And the whole homework "bonus" that is supposed to help to resolve a bordering grade is a lie. I did all my homework and got all pluses, but my bordering grade did not reflect that.

Difficult. Demands that you are very specific in your answers. Nothing can be implied in the least. But still a good professor. I liked the class despite it being at 8.

Ok. Teaching is not that bad. However, she's a HORRIBLE grader. Her methods are extremely high school-esque and she does not curve her exams. I would not recommend anybody to take her. Probably the only plus about the class is the drop exam we get. In my opinion, take Prof Kesler or A. Jaslow.

High school teaching style. Requires that you know too many details and not the main concept. Picky on essay and short answer questions

She's an incredible teacher, and she's such a real person. It's a refreshing change from some other professors who don't seem to "get" life in college. C Jaslow is an awesome advisor, too!

Jaslow is solid. You'll learn a lot and be glad that you did. Ditto on the grading comment but that shouldn't scare you. It's all in the details. If you remember that, you'll do fine.
