Chuck taught me to challenge authority. He said real education begins once you leave school and venture out into the real world. We were having a discussion on religeon and atheism when I said I could not wrap my mind around the idea of a watch without a watch maker. He just said "why are you trying, if its that uncomfortable leave it alone. "

My all-time favorite teacher. I took every class he taugh when I was at Highline, even one I couldn't use the credit for towards my degree just because I enjoyed his lectures so much. He had such a passion for inspiring students to be life-long learners and critical thinkers. Most memorable quote,"Don't believe anything I say-find out for yourself!"

One of the most inspiring professors (nay, people) I've ever had the pleasure to meet in the world. What a man to arouse the love for knowledge, and science, and ****! He's retired, 94 years old, yet I know that 40 years from now I'll still be doing what I do in the world under the guidance of how proud he'd be, what he'd think. All the best.

My favorite professor of all time. I took the Roots of Science and Astronomy from him and later retook the roots of sciece just for fun. The best professor one could have if you care about expanding your knowledge, thinking, and piecing it all together. He incorporates a little bit of everything possiby related to the subject into the class.

Stores wants an audience to dazzle with his political and athiest views more than to teach Astronomy. He ignores the $100+ textbook completely and the last two weeks of class suddenly embarks on a crash course on heavy duty Astronomy. His test questions are treacherously designed to facilitate failure. He delights in screwing up people's GPAs.

Great guy. Goes off on tangents, but is well informed about most things science. Fun to listen to him. He is more focused on thinking about things than learning facts. I you take him, be patient, he'll get around to Astronomy eventually.
