I took Bob's B&W photo class. Biggest mistake ever. I took a high school photo class, so i went to this class with knowledge of the subject. He does not let you make any creative choices. Any time he tells you to modify something in the dark room, he's wrong! Very unhelpful, stubborn, rude. He doesn't teach you how to do anything for yourself.

Bob is a good teacher, though a little dull at times. It may seem that he's repeating himself, but photography, esp. in a darkroom is ALL about repetition so as to get consistent results. He does give quite a bit of feedback if you talk to him, and he is quite knowledgeable on the subject. He is often late but that's his commute from another school

I took him for B&w because there's no other option. He's fairly easy (but I took photo in high school) but he's BORING. you'll learn next to nothing, his own work is fairly good but that doesnt come across in his teaching at all. I'd suggest NOT taking this unless you just want to get an art credit because it'll ruin photography for you.

It seemed like his class was very easy but he never gave us a feedback on how we are doing in class except for the tests. His instruction were really vague and he kept on repeating the same things again and again.. I would suggest taking a different teacher

Great teacher! Very knowledgeable. Photography class was a breeze. If you LISTEN and pay attention to what he is trying to teach you you will have no problem. He is also very helpful when asked questions. An actual photographer so he knows what he is talking about. Didn't have to use the text book but was recommended.

Bob is a great teacher and an ever better artist, I recomend taking any of his clases for anyone even mildly interested in photography. Sorry for the "not hot" rating, I'm sure he's quite the man with that camera however!
