Dr. Michelmore's wealth of knowledge is astounding. I spent two weeks with her on a trip to Turkey and was amazed by what I learned just from sight-seeing and chatting with her. She is very personable and caring, although she can come off as a bit severe. I really enjoy being in her presence! Terrific person and professor.

it's amazing how smart this women is! If you enjoy learning about religion or history take her class. She expects a lot from her students but in the end you'll be amazed at how much you have learned and how completely different you veiw things. She is excellent at explaining even the most difficult subjects.

She's really loud and fun-loving which makes a what-would-be-hard course bearable. Don't take her courses unless you really want to study the subject matter, you WILL drop the course if you don't. If you lean conservatively or republican--be prepared to keep quiet. It's not just her though, it's her and most of your classmates.

She is an amazing professor. I have had her for History of Islam and Africa Past & Present.On her exams if you get the overarching idea of a subject you will generally do well on her exams. She is a strong presence and it can help one to learn her materials as well as have a wonderful role model.
