I never paid attention, never read anything for it, but got an A. trick is bring your laptop to class so you have something to do because lecture is pointless. attendance actually didn't matter cuz i missed a few classes and got a perfect attendance grade just like everybody else.

You have to go to lecture, but they make little sense. Lots of scribbling on the bored. You'll buy a lot of books-none of which you will be tested on. You'll get a comprehensive review sheet before exams-her only saving grace. Try to avoid taking her.

Berman is a great lecturer. Her classes are based on lecture, so this is good. Do a sparse amount of the readings, attend the lecture and take good notes, and you will do well on her essay tests (which by the way, she gives comprehensive review sheets).
