Professor Ianello is very smart and passionate about her work, but not to the point where it makes her a bad teacher. You don't have to do any of the readings before class, just make sure you do them before each exam and you'll be fine.

A great professor overall. Took her for "Feminist Theory in American Politics," and had some really great discussions. Wish she had focused a little more on the politics part and on intersectionality but she's really very caring, funny, and intelligent professor! Just make sure to start her 20 pg paper before the day before!

Professor Iannello is exactly the kind of Professor that Gettysburg College wants in their employ. She is smart, experienced, kind, and accessible. Her 101 class opens the students eyes to politics with much more depth than I expected. She especially likes for the students to focus their work on the politics of their home states and towns.

Professor Iannello's class can put you to sleep, especially if you have it in the morning. All you need to do is show up, take notes, and that's it. There are two main papers and one is a large portion of your grade. She is a pretty easy grader too. Fairly easy class. I would recommend bringing your laptop to "take notes". Take her class!

Absolutely phenomenal class. She prefers seminars because she enjoys interacting and discussing things with students - she really values your feedback on everything you talk about in class. She requires one main paper which is really long, but she's lenient with deadlines and extremely helpful throughout. Her readings are interesting and mandatory.

Between all the POL 101 classes, if are not interested in the subject or not sure, take her! She is smart & sweet. All you have to do is keep up with the readings (which is not a lot) and do the assignments. Her tests are based on everything in class so write down everything on the board. Outside of that there is no reason you should not get an A.

Professor Iannello means well and is a decent teacher, but she preaches her liberal propaganda way to much in class. She is not open to new ideas and is very close minded on her beliefs. Although she will not grade you poorly if you disagree with her, her liberal Vermont background shines though in ever discussion.

Her liberal views collide with her teaching a bit too much, but she definately cares about the subject. If your a right-winger, be prepared to walk into a brick wall whenever you enter the classroom.

It's nice to have some ideological diversity at Gettysburg even if it comes from the prof. She balances out the "crazy batshit" views of some of the right wing nut students. She's a good, thought provoking prof. Take her if you get the chance.

She tended to let her liberal views cross with her teachings a bit too much. I am a liberal and I even thought she gave conservatives a hard time. Despite her narrow mindedness, the class is somewhat interesting, she's a tough grader on tests, but if you do well on the final, you'll get an A-. Overall, easy class, readings are not necessary to do.

A little intimidating if you lean to the right; however, she's extremely passionate about the subject which I think most professors lack. She knows her stuff and acknowledges flaws across the spectrum. Fell behind on syllabus, only 3 grades, had to read "Inconvenient Truth" which was a good book, but more appropriate for an ES class

She went from being fairly balanced in the first half of the semester to batshit crazy after the mid-term, with such statements as "there is no liberal media". Um, okay. Anyway, easy class--I got an A and didn't even read the book. A nice refresher course from high school civics, but little else.

Not a class to go into if you want to sleep, she'll find you and pick on you. However, she's also guaranteed to give you an A if you've ever taken American History and studied federalism. Easy class, despite her being a total psycho liberal. I suggest taking Warshaw, knowing her is a lot better for your future in the department.

Terrible teacher that didn't care anything about what I did or for that matter what I didn't do. She was so boring that I kept on falling asleep. All of her test had nothing to do with her teachings. It was horrible.
