Took this honors. Easy class. Easy A. Minimal amount of work. He's a very enjoyable professor who genuinely cares about teaching students how to write. Not a strict grader. Would highly recommend.

Saper is hard, not going to lie. We had to write a lot, and he's a tough grader. HOWEVER, it pays off. I learned a lot. Take him if you're willing to work, you'll get a lot out of the class.

This class was almost entirely online. We had 3 websites to build based off a couple books we had to read. The websites actually were pretty fun to do. Sometimes the directions were a little vague, but overall, it was an easy A. Also, there was no final. I would recommend this class to anyone!

Brilliant, funny, nice, and interesting. He is very interdisciplinary with his teaching style, which I like. It's worth it to take Prof. Saper.

First and foremost Saper is an entertaining and smart professor. If you're the type that needs to be engaged and challeged in order to succeed then go fo him. His class and teaching style is definitely hard so approach with caution. If his class clicks with you you'll be thankful that you didn't take anyone else.

class is a waste but he notices if you don't go and it will show in your grade. he gets off topic a lot and assignments are difficult bc he's not clear in explaining them.

his lectures had absolutely nothing to do with the assignments. that class was such a drain. the assignments were easy but the way he "explained" them were more complicated that it actually was. he is the definition of Vague. he's pokey about getting your grades up as well. he doesn't answer your emails either.

His assignments are unclear and often vague. He will tell you how the assignment should be and then tell you it doesn't have to be that way. However, the class is very informative and helpful.

Comment:
Class based around the art of effective communication through comics. Assignment details were often vague and left students confused. Final project deadlines seemed almost too rushed, so it was a lot of work, but if you're the least bit dedicated, you should be fine. Very friendly and very eager to help students out!

I didn't know anything about comics until I came to this class. This class is about the"art of effective communication"-with comics as the medium. Instructions sometimes vague. They give you assignments that are interesting to a degree. In the beginning it wasn't that bad,as the busy work piled up plus a huge comic book/final proj- got swamped.

He's a nice guy, but don't take his section unless you're real creative. It's all about pictures. I thought I was supposed to be in comp. Assignments don't make ANY sense, but I seem to make decent grades. Good luck.

I was left thinking "What was this class about?" after finishing. Assignments? VAGUE. It's all about guesswork with this class. I hated it, but I did manage an A with barely any work being done. Go figure. VAGUE.

This guy is smart, but he can't teach. He answers questions with answers that leave you asking more. His project assingments are unclear, and he refuses to clarify. Absent-minded and difficult to understand.

SCATTERBRAINED. Unclear. Favors students with a grasp on visual art (drawing, computer graphics) in a course that SHOULD be more focused on conceptuals. He is smart, but he can't teach. I ask him questions & end up with even more questions than before.

Dr. saper is a very intelligent man; however, sometimes the assignments don't seem very practical and very vague. He's interesting to take if you like experimental methods of research.
