Best English prof ever. I had him a few years ago. While his class was not easy, I learned more than I thought I would. If you bothered to try at all, he'd give all the help you could need, but he'd not just do your work for you. A lot of students didn't seem to try in his class, and didn't understand why their errors made their grade lower.

I had Mr. Johnson some years back for Comp 1 and 2, and American Lit 1 and 2. He is one of my favorite teachers I've ever had. He has a very dry sense of humor and I was always struck with the fact that other students didn't seem to realize that. They really didn't know how to take him.

His class is hard, but you learn quite a bit from him. He 'favors' only the students who will work hard, and no matter who you are, you will learn something. Great teacher, too bad he retired.

He was a very nice person. He wanted everyone to write great papers. He was not ever satisfied, because with essays you can also make improvements! There is no such thing as a perfect paper and let you know that!

Never have I been more frustrated in a class. He is very critical in your work and doesn't seem to think anyone has good papers, even if you think they're your best work. I don't know how many times that I rewrote papers that I thought were good that he thought were mediocre. Very unsatisfied with him and his teaching.

Mr. Johnson was probably one of the worst teachers I have had at Edison, because he always favored the highschool football players and very rarely stayed on topic for more than 5 min. per class.

I think Mr. Johnson is an angry little man who is mad at the world for not having the talent to be an accomplished writer. I feel like he takes his stress out on grading student's papers. I didn't enjoy him or his class.
