Comment:
Professor Lubell is no question is boring. However he does teach, and teach well. If you have the mindset to listen to him in class you will learn. I took him twice, and unlike some professors at Adelphi, he doesn't make you learn the information on your own. Some Math professors consider watching Youtube videos as teaching you he does not.

He was horrible. Brought my GPA down. Only 2 exams (final and some other dumb exam). Mumbled. Never made any sense. Confused himself & us. Totally lost. Didn't even notice when people left the room during class.

Stay far away from this professor. Gave one quiz and one final to class. This gives students a very small chance to get a good grade. Very disorganized and doesn't use a textbook.

This professor is impossible. He told us that he would sent out a review sheet for the test and never did. He doesn't give any partial credit and makes what is the most simple calculus extremely difficult. If you are looking for a struggle take this class.

Very knowledgeable in math but doesn't do a very good job of teaching his students. He will often teach new material before a test then test on older material. He is a very nice person though.

the WORST ever. I totally knew what I was dealing with first day of class (I'm a freshman) he mumbles , is unorganized , doesn't really explain and the class is dead. Boy I wish I went on here before I got him because I'm terrible in math, nice man though.

Sweet, nice man... but he must be the most incompetent man ever. I would leave class 10 min in every time, barely paid attention, he made simple things complex. He never challanged anyone and honestly this was the easiest A I had ever rexieved. The rubber glove is a little creepy too.

OH GEZUZ! what can i say... other than that the only thing i got from his classes is that he really LOVES RUBBER GLOVES! makes no sense of some of the lessons; goes too far in depth trying to describe where the topic originated from rather than just teaching the ACTUAL TOPIC!! what a disaster... if you intend on passing, don't take him!!

Dr. Lubell was my favorite professor at Adelphi aside from Dr. Quirin. He was always there for me when I needed help. He wasn't an easy teacher, don't think you will skip classes and show up on test day and do well, unless you are some freak math genius, but he is fair and does all he can to help his students understand.

Not a bad guy. Not a good teacher. He really and truly tries, but anyone who even slightly struggled in math is doomed from the minute they register. If your good in math tho and just want to review PreCalc before Calculus and Analytical Geo go for it. Its an easy A.

His classes are soooo freakin easy, if your good in math. However, for people that are not math/science people, don't even bother. You will probably fail. He does work with peoples grades though, he gives redos on exams, and just about gives you every opportunity to advance your grade. His classes are EASY A's if your somewhat math inclined.

I have taken several classes from Dr. Lubell. He is a caring professor. He is always available, willing to help you with any problem you might have with your math course. I consider him to be my mentor in mathematics. I highly recommend him as a math professor.

he can be confusing - for simpler courses he's alright (if you're pretty good in math already) but for difficult classes-stay away. his review sheets are usually same type of Qs that will be on the test & you can bring 8x11 sheet of notes-so if you can do the review-you're set-put it all on the sheet. but if you cant do the review-you're screwed

Horrible. It is like the man is from outer space, he talks to himself. You can tell he is extremely smart but he has no idea how it get it across in a clear understandable way.

go to him for extra help and he will explain things to you much easier. ..... he allows you to bring in a sheet of paper (8.5 x 11) and you can put anything you want on it. His tests can be hard but you can bring up any low grade by taking an optional part on the final.

I sat in his classes, and just wanted to die. His teaching methods are from another reality. He goes off on tangents, and never comes back from them. His tests are nothing like what he has done in the class. STAY AWAY, FAR AWAY!! Your GPA will thank you!

He comes off as being rather ditzy and is the perfect example of an "absent-minded professor." He knows his stuff, though. His tests are also REALLY easy! His way of remember people's names is also hysterical! I wouldn't want to take another class with him, but I think he's cool.
