Were we taught by the same person? Kezar is not interested in what you have to say. He is, however, really interested in hearing his own voice. I love shakespeare and was miserable in this class.

Pretty easy grader on the papers, but really wacky in class. You will laugh a lot at his weird manuerisms and sayings. I recommend him. He's a genius when it comes to shakespeare. If for nothing else, take a class from him for its entertainment value.

Pretentious and pompous. Occasionally brilliant but impossible to talk with (doesn't keep to office hours, doesn't really listen well...unless you are a woman, and then he is all ears.)

The People Magazine thing was pretty cool, but that is not why this guy is a must take. He is a must take because he will teach you and learn from you at the same time.

One of the reasons there should still be English Departments. He will make you work hard and think hard. Do not take him unless you are willing to do both.

He's a very nice man. He's easy to talk to and frequently available to assist you. He's very passionate about the material and he makes sure that you can really grasp it. However, it will take a while for him to grow on you. Only take his classes if you know you'll be interested in the material or you may be bored to death.
