she is a really nice professor. I would recommend her to everyone who weakness is writing because she will make it your strength. I started off to a pretty bad start by skipping class but i spoke with her and got my work turned in and will pass the class. the work is a little hard but if she see you trying she will help and you will pass.

She is helpful and fun. But she grades very harshly which kind of demotivates instead of the other way.

LeBlanc is a tough grader. Just go into her office hours (This will greatly aid your writing and your grade). The textbook, Figuring the Word, is rarely used for anything important and is extremely dense. Class projects (both in and out of class) were fun and informative. Otherwise class time felt like a waste sometimes.

Definitely a challenging class as a freshman. While we had a ton to write over the semester, my writing definitely improved. Meet her outside of class to get ideas for thesis, etc. If you put in the time she will notice.

Comment:
This class is rediculous. So many papers (6 full essays and 6 2-pagers). She pretends to care but she only thinks that we have one class, hers. Unbelievable. Sure she's willing to help go over your essay but she is a feminist and has a very biased grading system. Too much work in too short time. Add reading books in less than a week tothelist

Diane is so passionate about teaching and her students, you can't help but be interested in her class. She's a very tough grader and very anti-grade inflation, but will help you to do your best.

She's really smart and fun. Knows what she's doing, and she helps you to feel more confident too, which is a great thing in a first-year writing course. She's passionate about what she does, and it rubs off.
