I graduated years ago - but thought it important to post this. He is the best professor i had in undergrad or graduate school. Truly cares for his students and will be there for you long after you graduate. Only wish I majored in accounting. Any Merrimack student would be lucky to have Prof Hanson

I took this guy years ago and I've since graduated, but all of you who are undergrads now should know he will give you the shirt off his back in the future. Stick with the guy, learn what he teaches you and most importantly pay attention when he is talking about the real world. He understands what it takes to succeed after college.

Comment:

The first and only accounting class I took. I did not meet the pre-requisites, but was able to talk my way into the class and Mr. Hanson helped get me situated. I found him incredibly well spoken and knowledgeable. The most rewarding class I've taken. As far as I know I'm one of the few that 4.0'd it, so it is difficult for most.

His title of Dean of accounting is very befitting. He knows what the real world is like and he recognizes people who will be able to succeed in it. His class is hard but fair and it pushes you to learn and work under pressure, much like todays business environment.

A lot of work but you learn a lot. Hanson is a great professor and a good man. He lectures always include jokes about his wife. Hanson understands that accounting is hard for students, especially for ones who don't want to major in it. He is always on campus if you need help.

I can say with out a doubt he gets the most out of his students. VERY demanding! Expects perfect results instantly. If you want to truly learn accounting take this class but be prepared because the work load is massive and grading is servere. Overall an awsome and intellegent guy. Funny as hell too!
