Very unorganized and unprepared for class. Does not provide lecture slides making the lecture material difficult to follow esp. due to her circularity and randomness. Did not respond to any of my emails regarding class projects and homework. Discouraged me from pursuing a paralegal certificate.

Comment:

A wonderful teacher, but don't think you can slack off in this class and make it. There is ALOT of work and you need to do a great deal at the library researching. But Prof. Richeda is amazing in that she takes her own time to meet us there on weekends and help walk us through. A really kind and patient professor and I highly recommend her.

I totally disagree with some of the negative statements made. I had Prof. Richeda for two classes, two different semesters. Yes, you have to read the textbook and your homework, but we're suppose to be adults by now. She supplements the textbook with her lectures and is incredibly patient with questions and people green to the legal world.

I admire her. She is an active woman having a practice and participating in many local/social events. As far as her lectures go, I agree with other comments, unclear and you're better off reading the book, but she puts a lot of time, coming to class 45 min earlier to answer questions. Read the book and you will be fine!

As mention she is a nice teacher. That is all. She is very useless. She rarely returns any of your emails/phone calls, and when she does it's usually a week or more later so its already too late. She is not clear about her projects/due dates.If you just read the book and dont care about any of the above. take her.

Super nice teacher! She does try, but isn't always successful in explaining. Lectures are dull. Mainly you'll learn from the book and the research at the library. Hated it at first but grew to like it. Her tests are T/F. Not the most effective teacher, but a nice person. Not necessary to come to class but there is a sign-in sheet.

Super nice teacher! Helpful at the library. She does try but isn't always the best at explaining. Not entirely necessary coming to class. Most learning is from book and research and not lecture. Could be more effective in lecture. Be prepared to study yourself and learn yourself.

Took this teacher for Legal 134, she's really nice but going to class was a waste of time. She basically just reads to you, everything that you read in the book. She assigns pointless projects that she doesn't really check. She's a really nice lady and she's knowledgeable but i coulda just read the book.

She's a great teacher. I don't understand the negative comments. I've been in the legal field forever....and I'm learning a great deal for her. If you don't understand, she always stops to clarify. She's thorough and goes behind the textbook to support the lessons. She gives great class projects which cause us to apply/use what we're learning.

I have been through the entire Paralegal program. This is one of my last classes, and she is by far the worst instructor. All of the instructors have been top notch. She has no control over the class, distributes a lot of handouts but doesn't really teach. Takes you to library, but little direction given. Very sad ending to a great program!

I don't even know if it's an easy class or not. You need a textbook to do all the work in class. There are people talking in class and because she doesn't care, it can get very noisy during lecture. People are complaining how she is incompetent to teach, out loud during lecture, which makes me think that this class is a mess and uncomfortable.

She is a very nice and outgoing person. But she is a poor teacher. She follows the book - so you don't need to go to class, just read. (But she takes roll!) She also can't spell(!) and her handwriting is an eyesore. She is always giving us examples from her work and so the class always ends up "chatting." You don't learn much from her...
