ECON215 is a hard class. You can take an "easy" prof who doesn't give a lot of work and struggle for a C on your own, or you can take Stone, work your tail off, and get an A you deserve. That being said, you won't find a professor who cares more about you and your success than Dr. Stone. He's kind, funny, and passionate. I'm lucky to know him.

The most phenomenal professor I have ever had. Knows the subject well and teaches it well. I took this class second semester of my freshman year with another professor and failed the class, I took it again with Dr. Stone fall sophomore year and made an A. Not because he's an easy grader, but because he taught the subject well. Highly recommend.

By far one of the most outstanding professors at Winthrop University. He explains everything very well. You have to buy his handout packet for the class and even though it's 300+ pages, everything that's covered in class will be related to the handouts. Be ready for hard tests and lots of review/homework though.

Dr. Stone is my favorite professor at Winthrop. I came into his class with 0 interest in Econ and because of him, I'm thinking about changing my major to it. His class is tough; you have to do the handouts, you have to do the study guides, and you have to come to class, or else you won't pass. But I can guarantee you won't find a better Econ prof.

He is a really really good professor! You really have the chance to learn what you are doing with him. On the other hand you'll have to work because that's what he requires and the exams are not the easiest.

Dr. Stone is nice but not understanding when it comes to grading. It was the beginning of the semester and we had an essay due and mine was not stapled and I asked would he take off points and he said yes. Then a girl down the row said she ha a stapler I could borrow and he wouldn't allow me to borrow it. Nice guy. Not a very nice professor...

Dr. Stone is not in anyway an easy professor, you will have to work for every grade you get. The tests are extremely hard and long. He is willing to help, but you cover so much material in so little time, the class gets really overwhelming! Be prepared to study and study long. Good luck you'll need it, but I would recommend taking with someone else

Dr. Stone is a great gentleman. He invests much of his personal time and effort in making sure students have every opportunity available to learn the material. He's generous on his grading but the material is very difficult. He comes in during his personal time to provide optional reviews. Has been teaching Econ here for 42 years. Great professor.

Just know that Stone's tests are very difficult. Also be prepared for his quizzes because they track understanding in his class. Make sure you know what he wants you to know. His methods are a double edged sword. He tells you what you need to know but if you don't know it how he wants you to then you will pay the consequences.

Lots of info in lectures and he knows what he is talking about. Must put in the extra effort or will not pass. Tests are tough and must prepare for them as you will need every minute in order to even finish. Lots of questions and material on each test with not enough time to complete them. Be sure to do worksheets when assigned or you'll get behind

Dr. Stone isn't a bad professor. He is very passionate about economics and conveys a lot of information. I just don't like how much work you have to do on his tests with not enough time. Too many questions for me. It is hard to pass with him if you slack off. You have to pay attention to what he says. He really does teach econ well.

Dr. Stone is an excellent professor! It has been by far the toughest class I have taken at Winthrop but I enjoyed it. Dr. Stone is extremely helpful and makes sure you learn and understand the concepts. If you dedicate time to do the handouts as he say and work hard you will be okay. Wish there were more professors like Dr. Stone.

Stone is one of my favorite professors. He's funny, and he tries to make Economics fun because he knows everyone hates it. He does give a lot of handouts but they aren't graded. So if you want to stay on top of things, do the handouts. They help. if you need help he will help you! Plus his office is so cool looking why wouldn't you want to go see?!
