If you think his class is hard then you may want to change majors. His class was a breeze compared to other instructors. Exams were so easy I barely studied. He is very nice and will have discussions with you during his office hours. Make sure you have the foundations before taking his course because it will help in the long run.

His lectures were crystal clear. He followed the textbook and added theory (plus different proofs) to give a more robust view of linear algebra. Despite studying intensively, his tests were very challenging and forced me to continue learning new things on the subject after they were over. Other faculty would benefit from taking his classes.

He is very difficult to understand. The way he explains things don't make sense. He does everything in the most difficult way possible and students ask if they can just do it another way and get the same answer. "oh of course" .....what?! don't even go to class. it will only make you more confused. the book is the only way to learn

He is a really great professor, but expects you to know the material after he explains it. I read a chapter or 2 ahead prior to every class and felt that helped understand the material a lot better. VERY HARD GRADER!!! 2 midterms and a final determined grade, hmwk was optional but strongly encouraged.

This class was one of the most rewarding academic experiences I have had in a long time. This professor is very enthusiastic and uses a systematic approach to teach you how concepts work, not just the formulas involved. This class is very demanding, but it is well worth it.

I took this class in five weeks. Do not do it unless you can dedicate 30 plus hours a week studying for one class. After all that work, I think I still only got a B. I can say that you will learn more than your grade will reflect because the tests are not easy.

Am I taking the same professor as everyone before me. He seems like he really knows his stuff. God forbid a professor acually asks you to understand the material he teaches. He gives a very systematic and logical approach to math, explaining why things happen rather then having you memorize an random formula. Take him if you want to learn.

Foundations of Analysis: Great professor. The course content and the learning is a bit rote but he was extremely helpful in his office hour. He would explain everything I had questions on, work them with me, and give me the sheet with the work. Really helped me study and I got an A in his class.

Dr. Popescu is an excellent teacher, especially for undergraduate courses. Now, this is only if you are a serious student who is really interested in learning. He is very difficult, though, in graduate courses. I would recommend him for MATH 3213. He is very helpful if you are serious, if you are not, don't waste his time. He is also so nice.

I hated this class. His exams are pretty much memorization of the chapter and HW problems. If you're good at memorizing, you'll do good in this class. If you actually want to think and not memorize, then you won't.

Very boring proffesor. Lectures through his class and never goes over the homework that are used for the tests. Tests are hard and he is a picky grader. Makes you feel stupid when you ask questions
