George is such an amusing little old man. His stories are pretty funny. It was almost unnecessary to go to class if you read the book. There are a lot of video days. Overall easy class.

He is one of the most caring and informative professors ever. His accent is not as bad as people saying it is. I did not have a hard time understanding what he was saying. Take his class!

I thought this class would be interesting and it probably would have been had I been able to understand a single word he said... DO NOT take this class if thick accents bother you because he does not use power point he just lectures. The class is easy and he is really nice but that accent is a killer!

I love George! He's so adorable, you just want to hug him. He's like the grandpa you never had. Tests are easy because he goes over the questions in class. Videos are used to reinforce information, not as test material. Grades on a curve (highest score is considered 100%) and is easily approachable if you have questions. Love love love him!

He's such a cute old man but so hard to understand... he has a thick accent. your whole grade is like two tests and the final.. pay attention attendance isn't mandatory.

This was the most annoying class ever. Probably because I couldn't understand his accent. If you're good at that take this class but I'm not and he talks really soft so I wanted to cry. The movies were crazy boring and I couldn't sit through them. I will never take him again. He never answered my questions enough so htat I could understand.

This guy is awesome. He has great stories to tell, knows his stuff, explains topics clearly, and is open for questions at any time during lectures. However, his tests are based off the book, not his lectures, so make sure to read up and learn the key terms and case studies before the tests. The tests are not easy, but he curves the grades.

A very nice teacher. Lectures were shor and to the point but also a little dry. As long as you do the workload (which is light) you should get an A. George even signed me up for his next class when it was already full. I would highly recommend taking him.

George is so little & cute, I want to squeeze him! The midterm is take home, I never did any of the readings but went to class because he is so much fun. There is a 10 page paper but you can do it on ANYTHING! (vampires, zombies, etc) Overall, he is easy but really nice and just plain adorable. Recommended!!

I had him for about three classes. George is so mellow and let's you come to the conclusion yourself. I like that style of teaching. Sort of Asian style. Maybe he is a Zen master!! Even though he's from Bolivia. Knows everything about everything. Ask about his vulture casserole!! Take him and re- take him. George rocks.

Great teacher! I loved him so much in ANTH 420 im noe taking him in ANTH 420. Overall it's an extremely easy class, if you can get past the accent his lectures are pretty interesting too. Attendance isnt required or really necessary. Theres reading assigned, a few short papers for the midterm and a final paper with a presentation and thats IT!

George is the Zen Master! I took his ANTH 101, 106, 420, 421...learned about the most abstract of truths from him...he deflects inquiries with masterful expressions of Thai Chi, so you wont get an apparent answer...he made me realize the intangible, spiritual aspects of culture and anthropology. truly a master...never got less than an A !!!!!!!!!!!

I had him for honors anthropology. He is a great professor. The attendance wasnt required and the reading wasnt either. We just had a final paper which we can turn in anytime during the semester. You had to do a presentation at the end of the year about your paper. Very Very nice and friendly. Very Easy! Definitely Recommend him to anyone.
