Todd is a very kind person and a thoughtful instructor. His instructions are confusing so don't be afraid to ask him to clarify, but he means well. His assignments are extremely difficult, but they were the only time I felt genuinely challenged by OSU's art program. His class will give you a giant headache but in my opinion it's worth it.

He's well meaning, a great artist, but his introductory 3D art class is brutal. A solid class for a sculpture major, but a big mistake for a non-art major. He's very forgetful and sometimes gives contradictory advice. Prepare for 12+ hours working on projects out of class every week if you want to pass.

He is awkwardly hilarious and gives really confusing or utterly useless advice, which he will certainly forget telling you in a few days. If you just completely ignore anything he has to say and make things that you want that you can loosely tie in to what he wants you'll be fine as long as you deliver on the goods.

If you have any choice in what Beginnning Sculpture teacher to take, avoid him. If the ideas and concepts in your piece don't match with his, or you don't follow what he has in mind exactly, your grade will suffer. He doesn't remember what he tells you from day to day, and expects WAY too much for an intro class. Very uncomfortable studio class.

Avoid this guy at all costs! He continually rejected and/or tried to change everyone's project ideas so that we had no time to finish the work. King of ridiculous time frames! Did not actually teach any techniques or how to think about 3D art but very critical of projects. Impossible to get an A w/out flirting.

i don't know what alien inhabited his body, but i loved him last quarter. he may not understand what you are going for and try to talk you into something else, but if you just smile and nod and go about your buisness, everything works out because he won't remember that he told you to do something. and i dunno, but he was funny too.

very difficult personality. i felt like he always offered help, but rarely followed up on the offer. communication is hard. often i would write things down that he said in class so i could remind him later that he said it. keeping a record is vital! i was very dissappointed with my learning experience.
