I remember no professor like Harvard Ayers from 20 years ago. Such a pompous man that is more full of himself than knowledge & seems to only share that knowledge with the few he deems appropriate. It was honestly the worst class I have ever taken. I paid good money to WORK, not learn. The worst professor of my academic career.

He stands out as one of the most likable and personable professors I have ever had. You should try to get to know him outside the classes. He is a very neat guy. I remember more from his classes than any others. Took everything he taught except the southwest trip.

Dr. Ayers was a great prof. to have on the southwest trip. He's passionate about the subjects and also gave us enough room to learn some things on our own. He's more than fair and it was an amazing experience.

Class was fair- book better/clearer. He is very knowledgable, though. SW trip was interesting, but did NOT prepare students/provide adequate information- at one point 3 girls were separated from the group on a snowy mesa. Never noticed.

Prof Ayers is knowledgeable on the subject matter but lacks passion and delivery of the course matter. A lot of videos doing the teaching here and often material on tests are not covered in class so read the textbooks.

They should call this "Mountain Top Removal in Southern WV" cause thats all you really study. Be prepared to spend a weekend with the entire class sleeping in a one room rec center. We could have left a whole day early, but it interfered with Harvard's TV football schedule.

I'd Ayers for 4 classes & was my advisor, yet he could never remember my name. 3 years, reintroducing myself. Insulting. Some classes = basic, others completely off task. EX: NA Indians, call governors office for a test grade, & get bussed us off to a commune passing itself off as a nature preserve. Why? Clear a field for $20pp. Relevance? None.

I loved the subject matter. Harvard is very knowledgeable and passionate. However, his tests are set regardless of how much of the material you actually cover. One-third of one of our tests was material we had not so much as mentioned in class.

Dr. Ayers is the most unprepared teacher you'll ever have. The tests have nothing to do with what he emphasizes in class and is completely senile at times. Lectures are a complete bore and he never does the lecturing (leave it to the rediculous videos).

I love this guy, everything he says has some kind of interesting aspect to me. He is very helpful and the lab is very in depth. The class size this year has made it a little hard for him to give individual attention but other than that, a wonderful teacher!

He knows his information. Class was a bit dry. Southwest trip was interesting, but we were not well prepared for it and he left us at one point. I'd go again, but not with him.

The Southwest trip was one of the greatest experiences in my life. Harvard is a great guy, as well as a great professor. However, the trip is his passion, so I don't know about reg. classes. I highly recommend the trip
