This professor was amazing! He takes film VERY seriously; be sure to avoid saying remarks that could be taken as negative. Class is 1 day of watching a film, 1 day of film analysis. Exams were based 75% of the book, 25% lecture/films. Be sure to focus on the history of films, music, and influential moviemakers. NOT EASY, but he makes film FUN.

Professor Aldridge is a true scholar. He is perhaps the most knowledgeable and helpful professor you will ever meet. If it is an easy "A" you are seeking, do not take his courses. However, if you seek to truly learn about cinema, this is the professor to choose.

He doesn't fail many people, but when it comes to A's, Aldridge was one of the toughest Profs I've had at EMU. I practically killed myself for an A-, and I rarely get below an A non-technical classes. I will say that the class was very interesting, and I did learn a lot about genre films.

his lectures are usually very engaging, though he occasionally spins off into an irrelevant tangent. good class - got by with an A without even buying the book. go to lectures EVERY DAMN DAY - you'll be thankful. his tests here were all takehome essays that you had at least a week to complete, so no challenge there. he knows his stuff!
