She really makes me hate my life for 50 minutes 4 times a week. She doesn't make things clear and she is very unorganized. She will make you stand in front of the class and speak and laugh at you if you pronounce a word wrong. The only good thing is she has a sense of humor so if she makes fun of you make fun back. And buy her a hearing aid!!!

PLEASE AVOID HER! If you miss a class she calls you out on it, relies very very heavily on the textbook, never plans anything, has no idea how to use the computer, her tests are completely random and unclear. There's not enough room to complain enough about her.

She is not a great teacher. She thinks we should all have some kind of background on the language, and she doesnt teach it well. Always always always late. She is always frazzled, takes FOREVER to return tests. It was so hard to find any ambition to go to her class. Only good thing is she has a good attitude and jokes with students.

Dr. Hernandez is a great teacher. She is from Mexico and has a wealth of information to share with the class about culture and history. She stresses pronounciation in class by using the book and workbook. Goes over the homework in class to help you. Quizzes on vocabulary are easy. She is strict about attendance. I enjoyed her class!

Dr. Hernandez does not have time for stupid people, but if you really show an interest for Spanish then you're not wasting your time taking her classes. Her tests are a little unclear but she offers alot of extra credit and encouragement. Don't be scared, she is a really nice lady!

Arrives late, very unclear when giving explanations, relies heavily on the textbook, gives very long quizzes and the exams that take more time than the hour alloted for class. As a Spanish major, there´s no way I´d recommend her to anyone, ESPECIALLY non-majors!! Avoid if possible.

LATE EVERY CLASS. Gives extra credit if students are on time though. Tests are six pages long and she tests on the culture at the end of each chapter. She take spoints off for EVERY little thing.

She is nice but goes way to fast. I got nothing less than A's in SPAN 101 with another prof but now am struggling to get a B in 102. She grades very hard and is late pretty much every day anywhere from 5-10 minutes. Don't hand in the whole lab manual, just tear out the pages that she wants because she will rip the answers out of the back.

Spanish is a mandatory class for so many majors. Most people in the class don't really want to take it. Professors like this should not be able to teach 101-201. She goes really quickly, is extremely confusing and is not helpful at all. No need to do homework because it isn't checked (I think this hurts more than helps) She also grades so hard..

She is a native speaker, can be confusing and is not very understanding... Always late for class... Virtually no checked HW, tests are easy and half of them are directly copied from the workbook, but she grades hard... Attendance is a must for her... Pretty nice lady, but not the best teacher and not too helpful...

She moves very fast and when she speaks in spanish she does so very quickly. She is one of my favorite profs though. I learned so much from her. If you want to work a little then take her, but if you dont do homework or study your probably going to have a hard time. just go to class and do the homework.

she's nice, but u can't make-up missed work. And she takes 2% of your final grade for absences over 3(3 latenesses is an absence). when she apeaks in spanish she goes so fast! So just come to class and on time and you could do good. We go over all the hmwk in class so u can just do it in class.
