take this class and get ready for a snooze fest. she goes over the same thing about 20 times. We are half way through the semester and we are so behind, our midterm was supposed to be chapters 1-3 we were no where near chapter 3. she is so boring and talks so slow I would not recommend her

Her lectures were inspirational and made you think about the different lifestyles and cultures around the world. The class is fairly easy. Show up, write a summary at the end of each lecture. There are 3 tests and 1 paper aside from the in-class short responses. I would definitely recommend taking Dabrowski!

Dr. Dabrowski is passionate about sociology. The class is clear-cut and relatively easy. However, passing the class requires effort. Read! Participate! Ask questions! There is a midterm and a final; both are multiple choice. There are short response papers due after each class - they are not hard. Put forth effort! She is a nice person.

One of the most boring classes in my college career. She's so monotone it puts you to sleep. She doesn't take attendance but after class you need to write a reflection paper, so if you don't do those you will fail. In other words you need to always attend class. Her tests aren't too hard but you need to review all the notes. Good luck students.

You can tell that Professor Dabrowski is extremely passionate in what she teaches, and even though she speaks for the entire time as long as you take good notes and show up you'll do great on her tests (gives 3). Makes you write reflection papers at the end of each class, but they're nothing major.

Go to her class. She is passionate about what she teaches. Her course really changed my perspective on poverty and m own lifestyle. She requires a small response paper after each lecture, but is an easy grade. She is understanding, intelligent, and caring - what more can you ask? If you don't pay attention, you can't get an A. (But she reviews!)

This is an extremely boring class!! But ignore the comments below. Just read the chapters that she tells you is going to be on the test. She takes it word for word. We do write ups at the end of class that is basically extra credit. If you can pay attention and have a little patience you can and will get an A.

Let me just start out by saying that Dr. Dabrowski was and probably still is very passionate about her field, it's obvious the first time you meet her. However, when it comes to teaching the subject, she falls off the wagon. She is nice, but the she speaks at you during class rather than engages you to learn. Not helpful at all!

All of the positive reviews on here were definitely written by the professor herself. In each any every one it says "solid course." don't take her, I never took her but I heard she is horrible. She just looks mean, she doesn't belong at such a nice school.

I find her teaching style to be the most boring of my college career. I took this class as a requirement and I am regreting every second of it. Although she is very passionate about her job, she doesn't give her students any reason to be. Her voice is very awkward and robotic. She is however and very sweet woman, just DON'T TAKE HER CLASSES.

honestly the worst class of my freshman year. she thinks shes amazing, shes wrong. She never ever matches, her lectures are word for word from the textbook. She gives you nasty looks the whole class and the papers/tests are ridiculous. takes attendance every class. DONT DO IT.

i honestly dont know how she gets A GOOD rating. she is HORRIBLE. she just thows the information at u expecting u to memorize it without fully explaining what she is teaching. her tests are indeed extremely hard. she doesnt know any students by name and she doesnt look to help students. shes definatly a professor you should avoid!!!!!!!!
