Great Teacher!!I do agree you have to be completely lazy to fail this class he lays it out clearly how to obtain an A or B in beginning of the course. Videos were extremely interesting while still informative especially for me because I HATE lectures. I plan to take him for my other two Sociology classes next semester!!!

This class is an easy A or B if you do not mind writing your opinion. There are no tests or quizzes involved. You just come to class write your reaction to the videos 2pgs & leave hour & a half max. Write 3-5 pgs about each of the 17 chapters in the book & you get a "B". Do the term paper & get an "A" just get the topic approved. Its that easy!

All of his classes are very simple. I agree with others, if you fail his class, you are lazy. Come to class watch video and do reaction paper, basically summarize eash chapter in book, type or written,if you want an A, write a term paper with approval of topic. The videos are very interesting.Missing class is not a problem, can make it up.

LOVED this class!!! I made an A. You must come to class everyday. Watched a video each class period and wrote a response to that. There were no test. A 10 page paper at the end of the semester was optional to ensure an A. Must write a 2 page response to each article in the book (18 articles). The class was a first session course

His class was super easy and straight to the point. Attendance is mandatory because you have to write a 1 page paper at the end of each class to prove u were listening. NO tests/quizzes just papers. Watched a lot of movies. I would have taken him more if I hadn't graduated.

Mr. Preston was great.He does not give test/quiz.Simply write a three-five page paper on each chapter in the book. He does not lecture nor show powerpoints.In class we watched videos which you simply write a response paper a page long about the video. We never attended class till 10p, we were usually out about 730p at the latest.

Don't mind the haters on here. Preston is a good teacher that tries hard and knows what he is talking about. He does require 3-5 page chapter reviews and reaction papers for the videos but that is all the have to do to get a B in the class. No test or quiz. If you do the final term paper you can get an A. Interesting class and not difficult!

Teacher gives a ridiculous amount of writing work without any realistic expectation that he will read. He does not teach. Instead he require 3-5 page chapter reviews on each of 16 chapters to be done in an 8 week period. Does not use proper grading scale or give a syllabus as required in undergraduate catalog.

Dr Prestons classes are very easy! No tests- just reaction papers to videos in class (cool ones like America Justice from A&E) and summaries from the book chapters. Highly recommend!
