He's a little ADHD but a solid choice. No eating in class and never get out early. The book was used like twice for a small assignment, other than that, his lectures cover everything that's on the tests. Gives study guides which help a lot. 10 short quizzes after lecture to make sure you're listening. 3 exams that are moderately difficult.

I think that James is an awesome professor! He cares about history a lot. History was by far my worst subject and he made the material really easy to understand. Quizzes are easy. You do write a lot of notes, but his class was an easy A!!

Professor Rodriguez cares about history, which makes the usually tedious history to something interesting. Although most of his class consists of lectures, he tells them in story format. This makes it easy to remember. If you do decide to take this class, make sure to bring a laptop to take notes.

Well, I guess that Mr. Rodriguez was an okay instructor. However, lectures are quite boring, and he doesn't use the book much. He seems to prefer to use biographies of historical figures, and lectures about them. He also lectures about folks who are not in the book. Also likes to say At Any Rate a lot

Highly recommend. Lectures are told in story format, and make sure you take good notes! Quiz at the end of each class, but if you paid attention during the lecture-it is a breeze.

He is a great History professor. He has social anxiety, so he will rarely look at you or the class as a whole. The class is just a lecture, but he is so enthusiastic about History that the time goes by really fast. I have never liked History, and he made me love it. I was always so excited to go to his class and see what he had to share with us.

He's eccentric, will talk of dark moments in history. You'll hear about people & events you've never heard of before. The lectures can be tedious, but his awkwardness can make it strangely entertaining. He takes the full time each class. 3 tests. I had homework thrice. TAKE NOTES ON EVERYTHING! Don't miss. Quiz at the end of each class. Easiest A

This guy is great! I like history but he loves it to death, his class was like eating pizza, having a bowl, and watching an awesome history documentary on Netflix. I knew about 13 of the stuff already, the rest was awesome and new. I drew a doodle for each slide he had, which ingrained the info. 20 slides per class, each slide in 1 single picture.

If you had a dime for everytime he said "at any rate" you could retire after the semester ended and you would never have to start your career. He is weird. You have a quiz every class and no homework. One small paper. That is it.

This man needs to take a public speaking class. So if you enjoy sitting for three hours straight, listening to a history lecture with no class interaction and never once using your brain, This is the class for you!

Very easy class to do. He may lecture the whole class, but everything he says is on the quizzes and exams. He makes it very easy to pass - as long as you take notes and study. I found the material to actually be interesting. He may ramble and say "at any rate" way too often but I would suggest taking him. Don't complain about the lectures... easy A

Despite being a little bit weird at times, his lectures were very engaging and interesting. You always know what will be on the tests and there are no surprises. If you go to the class regularly and take notes, you should have no problem getting an A or B in the class.

He's a goofy guy, but very enjoyable to listen to. The guy knows his history with passion. You will learn a lot from him. The class is simple, just listen to his lectures and take notes. He is a great teacher (and a character). At any rate, I would definitely like to take another one of his history classes.

Bad news for people who didn't like this class! You most likely won't graduate college if you think this guys to boring to give your attention or do well on his exams! He is the best teacher I have ever had and I never even spoke to the guy. Easy a

Hilarious guy who knows his stuff. He tries to include the most interesting things in his lectures. All you have to do is take notes. If you follow the outline on the board and only write one thing about a topic then you will not do well. Constantly take notes because the outline will flow into itself, everything relates in one way or another.

This instructor does his job well. Says the phrase "At any rate" 35-40 times per session. Kind of funny spent a class tallying all them. He's a great guy, he loves history. Class is long all lecture, great study guides, essay questions included. Easy A/B if you attend class. Low stress since tests are know going in.

He's very funny and entertaining. He is VERY knowledgeable! If you pay ANY attention at all, you will know most of the test before you take it. The review sheet is really helpful and tells you what the essays will be before you take the test. BRING A LAPTOP TO TAKE NOTES!!
