First thing is we never once opened the book, DO NOT BUY IT!!! He is a very smart and sweet man, but he doesn't explain the material very well. I'm very good at math and passed with over 100%. Easiest MATH 180 teacher.

Higdon is very helpful guy. He is smart, and he knows what is he doing. But his only problem is he doesn't know delivering the information to you. He stops sometimes reviewing what he write on the board to make sure he got it right.

He just didn't do anything for my class. On any given day there would only be 15 or so people that showed up out of 30. The only time we were all there was when we had a test to take. Very nice man but I hated his class

Knows what he's talking about, but talks over your head sometimes. When approached with a question, he would rather do the work for you instead of helping you figure it out. Not a good lecturer, preaches often, which is sort of annoying.

Very helpful in class and one-on-one. Gives the students what they won’t. Never stops explaining a C++ code problem 'till you fully grip it. Adds flavor in the programming language, which would make you crave for some more! A social person, very good to talk too, personally and professionally

He is always very prepared but you have to really concentrate to understand the material. Very helpful one on one. If he knows you willing to work at it, then he is willing to spend more time with you. Great teacher.

His examples did not cover everything we needed to know and were only partial which did not help. He was unwilling to help particular students, and was unwilling to listen to what they were saying. Not good at teaching most students.
