I loved Jeff & the way he taught this class. Every week you were required to create a score and mp3 of the groove we learned in class. Wasn't awful once you found a system that worked for you. My biggest complaint was with the class itself not giving a lot of freedom to sway from the "traditional" groove and create something new.

Amazing teacher! I learned so much from him. He makes the class fun and interesting even though its a 2 hour 9am! Really glad I got to learn from him. Definitely recommend!

Not gonna lie, I wasn't a huge fan of Arranging, but Jeff made it tolerable. He's a fair grader in that he grades based on how well you use techniques as opposed to his personal preference. He returns assignments quickly. At least in Arranging 1, he critiques your stuff in front of the class, but he lets you fix things before he grades them.

Jeff is the man! Arranging 1 was definitely my favorite class my first semester at Berklee. He keeps it interesting, and the projects are all really good. Some Arranging professors have really limiting assignments, but with Jeff you can pretty much do whatever you want, which was awesome

He's clear. Explains everything clearly. He has a lot of experience. Keeps the class active with bringing a lot of examples from the subjects. Classes are fun.. Definitely recommended. You have to study hard for a good grade.
