There is a ton of information to know for each test. He lets you make a cheat sheet for every test, but it is minimal help with the amount of info you need to know. The instructor is really good. Just be sure to devote lots of time to memorize the material.

This class is much more difficult since changing from BI200 to BI310. Gives cheat sheets for the test, but they are not super helpful since there is so much specific material unless you write down every slide. Not many points to even out tests. Make sure to attend lecture AND contribute because there are participation points he adds in at the end.

Champine makes you work for it. He allows cheat sheets on the tests, but they don't help very much since there is so much detailed material. Test questions are tricky and you may have only discussed a topic briefly once in lecture. Lab is pretty easy. Overall, class can be a struggle if you don't test well since there aren't many assignments.

Dr. Champine can be a soft spoken sometimes but all in all, he really enjoys teaching. Taking this class is what made me change my major because I enjoyed it so much. The labs are the best part of the class. There is a cheat sheet for every exam but don't let that fool you. The exams cover A LOT of information and you will need to study.

Gives you cheat sheets for every test. Tests are hard as hell but doable. Make sure you find as many example organisms as possible. READ. THE. BOOK. You will fail if you don't. He's a good teacher and helps if you ask. I probably wouldn't take him again though, personally.

Easy class to pass with the cheat sheets and not a lot of home work or assignments for lecture. Lab is however mandatory and has a few assignments throughout the semester but not a lot and not hard. Lab theory and practice exams were pretty easy. No textbook needed as he provides all notes. Lab textbook needed though.

A lot of homework and work. He gives a full sheet of paper to use as a cheat sheet for tests. He gives extra credit. I don't think he's very fun. He seems to have no sense of humor. Not a bad class though

This class covers a lot of material, but Dr. Champine covers it very methodically with lots of handouts. Make sure to read the book and attend every lecture. Lots of homework pts and extra pts along the way. Tests not too bad if go over old tests and keep good studyable notes. Very smart witty guy. He cracks jokes, too!

Dr. Champine was a very good professor. The class was quite challenging, but that may be due to it being crammed into 4 weeks. Despite our rapid progression through the material Dr. Champine always made the material as clear as possible. I really found this class to be interesting and I anyone who has to take it will enjoy it, I'm sure.

Dr. Champine is a very organized teacher. Uses powerpoints and handouts with lots of pictures for lecture. The tests are easy because they are similar to his old tests, which he provides online. There are also lots of smaller homework and lab assignments so that your grade isn't entirely dependent on tests.

Dr. Champine is the best! This course is recommended for anyone who will ever work in a lab. Great course, although somewhat difficult (but it should be, right). Dr. Champine is very clear and ready to help you if you need it. I would recommend any course taught by this prof.
