I took this class as a Gen Ed, and ended up loving it! He is by far my favorite professor I have ever had! He is the sweetest guy, and makes everything so intersting! I am even thinking about changing major because of his class! I definetly recommend this class, and proffesor 100%

Amazing professor. Really interesting and very helpful. Tests are quite hard so try to study early throughout the semester and not only before the exam. Go to his office hours before an exam he'll ask you questions and you'll know what you need to study more. Also see him after an exam to see where you went wrong.

Loved him! He reminds me of a grandpa & cancelled class a lot. His lectures were really interesting and talked about current information. just read over notes a few times and did fine on the tests. 2/3 papers were so easy & I got 100 on them. weekly quizzes online boost grades

Prof. Mitchell was a great teacher who ended up convincing me to add Journalism as my second major. I thoroughly enjoyed the material and his lectures were never dry or boring. I would definitely recommend this class!

This was a really good class to take. Mitchell is a really funny teacher and the material that he teaches is interesting. He cancels class A LOT which is great. There is hardly any homework. Not much work at all. I would reccomend this class!

Easy class to take, entertaining lectures sometimes, but overall we didn't learn much. He canceled classes way too often, and as the semester wore on the quality of the lectures went down with his enthusiasm. Very easy assignments, and little of them though.

TAKE THIS CLASS! Professor Mitchell is a cute old man who is very passionate about journalism. Attendance is not mandatory but he'll sometimes do an "in class" assignment for points (pretty much just writing your name on a piece of paper) D2l quizzes are simple if you go to class. The final is optional if you have the grade you want! :-)

Professor Mitchell was one of the most enjoyable professors I've ever had! He's incredibly helpful and a really nice guy.To fail his course is practically impossible and better yet, an A is pretty much a given. Just do the work and attend his lectures. For anyone to bash on this course is a reflection of his or her own bad work ethic.

Great class. Great teacher. Lectures are 1 hour 15 mins...but the go by really quick. He is an interesting old guy who has literally had every job in the journalism business and has more experience than Matt Lower. Awesome class...I HIGHLY recommend. Not to mention it gets cancelled literall 25% of the time.

He is a funny old man who knows everything there is to know about the media and what you can and cannot print. He tells Supreme Court cases like stories instead of just annoying things to study. You've got to memorize everything to do well, but he's really great.

One of the best teachers at the UA. He's hilarious and has the easiest voice to listen to outside of Morgan Freeman. Makes it a breeze to attend a long class.
