Dr. Martin is a hard but fair teacher. He is very organized and has everything planned out. If you want a good grade in any of his classes you need to come to class, take notes, and do your homework. He is not easy but with effort anyone can make an ok grade. In intermediate he is definately trying to weed out the slackers.

Everyone always says how hard Dr. Martin is but if you're an accounting major you really need the structure of his classes. He's setting you up for success on the CPA exam. He's really nice as long as you don't get on his bad side. Granted, if you have him for Principles he is a LOT harder. His tests are hard regardless. You have to devote your life to studying if you want an A. I love him though!

Dr. Martin is difficult, but if you attend class everyday and take good notes, you will be fine. I am an accounting major, so my interest for the class was high. My room mate was not and she still did well (B). He covers everything in class and will call you out on the material. Overall, it was a good class and he is a good professor.

Martin is one of the hardest professors that I have ever had. He makes his tests deliberately as hard as he possibly can and often he will put material on there that has not been covered before. He is, however, very helpful and nice. He tries to "weed out" those who are not Accounting majors. This class is very, very hard. But overall I like him.

This is the worst class I've ever taken at UM, bar NONE. The material is awful, it's extremely difficult, and he doesn't help matters. He is like Mr. Mackey from South Park in looks and personality (he even says "mmkay?" all the time). Awful teacher. Awful class. Accounting majors: I feel bad for you all.

Not good at catching your attention making it easy for you to not want to come to class. Tests are fairly hard. Many say he tries to weed out the business majors which makes the class harder than it should be. I know many people who are retaking the class because it's mandatory for their major but could not pass his class.

He is the most boring teacher I have ever had. Going to his class is one of the most unstimulating moments of my school career. If you can take Accounting at a Jr college over the summer or may term: DO IT while you still have the chance! You'll be blessed to make a B or C in his class. I've known him to fail alot of people.
