Comment:

Dr. Bourne is an awful teacher. This class is boring and difficult. All she does is read off the slides and doesn't know how to pronounce medications. There is no study guides and doesn't let you know what will be on the quizzes. There is a quiz every week, I had to teach myself everything. Awful experience, worst teacher I've had at Mott!

I had Bourne this past spring. Shes a pretty good teacher. She pretty much just reads the PowerPoint but pay attention to anything she stresses because it will be on the test. All tests were reasonable and we were allowed to take the final in groups which was so beneficial! She really cares about the students too, and is very accessible!

I had Professor Bourne for spring/18 Pharmacology . Which is fast course for this subject. Like every class you must apply yourself and put forth effort. Don't expect an easy A. Her test were reasonable. She reviews and exaggerates specific material she wants you to know for the test. I would recommend her and take her again! Success is on you!

This professor reads straight from the PowerPoint, doesnt go into more detail, doesnt know how to pronounce medications and shes teaching pharmacology. Most boring and un interesting teacher I have ever taken at Mott and I have been here awhile. She does not make me interested in coming to class, I taught myself since everything is posted

If you are looking for an easy A this is the wrong professor. Lynette Bourne is usually on time, covers the chapters as scheduled, very helpful answering questions. I am a native Spanish speaker, who made a decision not to let other student's comments influence my performance. The responsibility to excel in her class is yours and yours only.

She is not a great teacher. Lectures consist of reading off a powerpoint that she doesn't come prepared for. She is very hard to get into contact with to schedule an appointment. There was no syllabus at the start of class and only 1 hw assignment. Test are weekly but you never know what's on the test. Her midterm and finals, she was unprepared.

I am currently taking Pharm with her. If you read the chapters, you'll pass the test. She is very fair at grading and offers extra credit. My experience so far has been great considering I was a nervous wreck about the class itself when I first started the semester.

An O.K teacher, goes off on a tangent quite often. One class we spent 30-40 minutes just talking about how she hopes she doesn't have jury duty. She is a bit cooky but she does offer extra credit on each test. Just be prepared to not talk about class related topics at times.

She is a pretty good professor overall. A few things:she a little scatter brained, she can't pronounce the names of medications, and there were some disputes over answers on her quizzes. To be fair there may be more than one correct answer and one is better than the other (critical thinking). I would take her again.

She is an OK professor. She gets easily distracted, off topic, and seems to forget what it is she is supposed to be doing. Probably the most irritating thing would be the fact that SHE CAN'T PRONOUNCE THE NAMES OF MEDICATIONS!! Drove me crazy. Overall, she tries to be helpful and fair but is a little irritating. Not the worst professor I've had.

In reference to the person that says they think it's unfair that Professor Bourne calls on you randomly during lecture-if you follow along with the powerpoint in your book the breakdown/definition is RIGHT THERE! Just follow along if you want to look like you're paying attention or don't like the sporadic method she uses to keep you on your toes:o)

Mrs. Bourne is one of the best professors that I have ever had. Remembering over 1000 medical terms in 6 weeks is hard. She made it so it wasnt a nightmare, and your didnt have to pull your hair out studying for the exams. Great teacher and I recommend her for any class.

I love her. She is a little boring, but she's very helpful and pleasant. She's very sweet and tries to give you ways to remember terms & uses her nursing experience to associate. You have to put in work& study the terms given on the powerpoint (& I do some of the reviews in the book), but if you do that you'll be in the 4.0 range guaranteed! =)
