This professor is most definatly a professor that doesnt let you slide by. He makes you work for an A and really wants to see everyone be successful. He only gives you essays for test however they are hard and you must MUST study everything and understand the concept. One of the most hardest part is the essays. No textbook needed though

Here s the thing, he is extremely nice/funny, only takes attendance here and there His tests are kinda hard and so is the subject. If you are not ready to put in this amount of work/study you should not be a psyc major and not go to grad school. like i said not easy like most good classes/professors

Terrible. Tests are ridiculous. He gives a sheet of terms and you have to know every little thing about everything. On test day, he gives a blue book, a term, and says "write everything you know". One missed word or wrong word or w/e, and you lose points. Terrible method of testing and grading (no other grades besides ridiculous tests). Don't take.

He does not use the text book. Three exams and he gives you the essays word for word. MEMORIZE the ESSAYS and the rest of the STUDY GUIDE. Tests are right from notes. YOU NEED TO PUT TIME INTO STUDYING. Very approachable and will help you if you want to help yourself. You will need to go to every class to do well. Prepares you well for grad school.

Very boring @first, hes all over the place &hard to understand his examples. By the end, I realized he wants students to do well. He doesn't like putting grades/#s on anything. He's always avail. to help. Last paper was not bad if you're serious about your major & career in the future.. it's what you HAVE to do in grad school so its preparation

Prof. Adams is definitely one of my favorite professors at MSU. If you are interested in following a career in Psych and are planning to go to Graduate School you MUST take his classes. His classes are the only real preparation you'll receive from MSU to go into a graduate program.

BAD IDEA!! HE is a great guy but maaan his class is tough! There are only 3 tests and they are ALL ESSAY! He gives a study guide and tries to narrow it down but it doesnt help much because his test are all memorization and he is a really tough grader!! AVOID IF POSSIBLE! He's a great guy though and funny at times. His lectures are boring sometimes.

This class is a difficult class but Dr. Adams makes it as easy as he can. He is extremely intelligent and his lectures are always animated. It shows how much he cares about both, the subject matter and his students. Read and memorize his notes and you won't have a problem with his tests.

Don't take him if you're not prepared to study. There are 3 tests that are all essay, and you have to remember everything he says in class. With that being said, he's still my favorite professor. What makes Dr. Adams so great is that he genuinely cares about his students and their progress. He's not only very intelligent but also a sweetheart.

I realise (now) that Dr.Adams teaches a difficult class and he has his method of doing the best he can. He needs verbatim asnwers because thats the easiest way to teach difficult consepts. Even his hand writen notes have purpose. I would definately take this class again.

Good class. VERY intelligent man. Explains things very thoroughly and will go over stuff again if need be. 3 tests that each cover about 30 pgs of notes that he gives you. Don't really need the textbook. Tests consist of 3 writing sections-terms, short answer, and 2 essays that he gives you ahead of time. Must memorize his notes verbatim.

Not the right professor for this class! The 4 quizzes at beginning of semester were actually very easy, but the second half of semester was confusing and a joke! His lectures are so boring, it will be a chore to keep coming back to class! I'd heard he was boring before taking it, but trust me, it's so painful!!

Very sweet, kind, and smart man, but an EXTREMELY difficult grader. You must answer the tests verbatim in order to get full credit. How much am I learning if i just simply spit back what I am taught? Three tests--all essay. Provides the notes, so we never used the book.

This professor is hard. But you get out of this class what you put into it. He challenges his students and if you give it your all you can do ok in this class. You'll end up learning a lot in this class that carries over to the entire field and other classes. You'll struggle through this class, but you'll be glad you took it next semester.
